Absorbent article with philic anhydrous lotion

A method of reducing the feeling of vaginal dryness is provided. The method includes a female user suffering from vaginal dryness administering a vaginal care composition to her vaginal introitus and, optionally, external vaginal tissues. The vaginal care composition can comprise an oil-in-water emulsion and a silicone wax having a melting temperature of from about 24&#xb0; C. to about 50&#xb0; C. The vaginal care composition can also comprise silicone particles. The vaginal care composition can have a viscosity of from about 20,000 cps to about 200,000 cps.

A catamenial device comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, the topsheet having an inner surface oriented toward the interior of the absorbent article and an outer surface oriented toward the body of the wearer when the absorbent article is being worn. At least a portion of the topsheet outer surface comprises an effective amount of a lotion coating which is semi-solid or solid at about 25&#xb0; C. and which is partially transferable to the wearer's body. Disclosed is a sanitary napkin for wearing adjacent the pudendal region, the sanitary napkin having a skin care composition applied thereon, wherein the sanitary napkin has a caliper less than about 5.0 mm. The skin care composition can have from about 0.001% to about 0.1% by weight of hexamidine, from about 0.001% to about 10% by weight of zinc oxide, from about 0.01% to about 10% by weight of niacinamide, and a carrier.
