The innovation relates to technologies by which the signal characteristics and, hence, environmental conditions of a transmitter can be concealed. In one aspect, a data transmitter comprises a transmitter and a changer, wherein the transmitter is configured to transmit a signal, wherein at least one signal parameter of the signal depends on at least one environmental parameter in an environment of the data transmitter, wherein the changer is configured to change the at least one signal parameter of the signal or a parameter on which the at least one signal parameter of the signal depends, in order to conceal the at least one environmental parameter.

Concealment of environmental influences on the transmitting parameters

A method for transmitting data or sensor data by radio between a preferably fixed battery-operated node and base station in a communication system with bidirectional radio transmission, includes providing a base station communication module having a first frequency transmitter, and a node communication module having a first frequency transmitter and second frequency transmitter with lower frequency. The node communication module transmits data in the uplink to the base station communication module by splitting a radio telegram into data packets transmitted successively with temporal spacing. The base station communication module transmits data in the downlink to the node communication module by splitting a radio telegram into data packets transmitted successively with temporal spacing. To improve downlink reception quality, two calibrations of first and second node frequency transmitters occur during transmission of the sum of a sequence of uplink data packets and subsequent sequence of downlink data packets including periods therebetween.

Method for the bidirectional transmission of data, in particular sensor data, and radio-capable node

A method transmits data via radio between a node and a base station with bidirectional radio transmission-based operation. The base station has a communication module with a first frequency transmitter. The node has a communication module with a first frequency transmitter and a second frequency transmitter with a frequency lower than the first frequency transmitter. The communication module of the node is intended to transmit data in the uplink to the communication module of the base station by virtue of a radio telegram being split into two data packets transmitted successively with a temporal spacing. The communication module of the base station transmits data in the downlink to the communication module of the node by virtue of a radio telegram being split into two data packets transmitted successively with a temporal spacing. The transmission time and/or the carrier frequency of at least one of the data packets is corrected.

Signaling of a multicast message in non-coordinated networks

A software defined radio type radio receiver is used in an environment that is self-sufficient in energy. The radio receiver has a receiving device, which receives the data in the form of a data packet or a portion thereof or a data stream at a certain data rate, and provides the data for further data processing. Wherein in an operating mode, the data is diverted at the receiving device and supplied to a microcontroller at a sampling rate which preferably can be defined. The microcontroller decimates the data by selecting a subset from the set of samples, and the microcontroller buffers in a memory and provides for further processing the decimated data.

A method for bidirectional data transmission, preferably in narrowband systems, between a base station and a terminal device includes providing the terminal device and the base station with frequency reference units and transmitting data between the base station and the terminal device over different frequencies. A basic transmit frequency is defined for transmitting data from terminal device to base station, the terminal device defines a terminal device transmit frequency on the terminal device side for transmitting data from terminal device to base station, a frequency offset &#x394;fexists between the basic transmit frequency and the terminal device transmit frequency, the terminal device opens a receive window for data from the base station, and the frequency offset &#x394;fis taken into account for opening the window. Base station determines the terminal device transmit frequency and base station transmits data to terminal device based on the determined terminal device transmit frequency.

Method for bidirectional data transfer in narrowband systems

A method provides communication between a meter and a flying device. The meter records consumption data. The flying device performs flight movements to a prescribed target position of the meter. Radio signals are received by a reception device and information is ascertained, relating to the transmission quality of a radio channel, based on the received signals. A poor transmission quality, satisfaction of which is dependent on the quality of the information, results in the reception of received signals and the ascertainment of the information being repeated after a communication protocol for communication with the meter has been changed, a position of the flying device being altered and/or a directivity of the reception device is altered until the transmission quality or a termination condition is satisfied. Upon having a satisfactory quality condition, meter information is captured and a message for controlling the operation of the meter is sent to the meter.

Method for communication between at least one meter device and an airborne device

A method operates a radio transmission system with a radio transmitter and a radio receiver. The radio transmitter has a transmitter timer and transmits a packet and/or a subpacket and/or a plurality of packets in succession for the transmission of data. A carrier frequency and the transmission times of the data and/or the carrier frequency and the sampling rate of the data and/or the transmission times of the data and the sampling rate of the data depend on the transmitter timer. The radio receiver has a receiver timer with time-measuring measures to define transmission times, carrier frequencies and/or sampling rates. The radio receiver estimates an error on the basis of the received data and determines a time error therefrom. A temporal correction factor for the compensation is defined on the basis of the time error.

Method for operating a radio transmission system, and arrangement of a radio transmission system

Data are transmitted by radio between a terminal and a data collector. The data collector is intermittently or constantly in receive mode. The terminal attempts, from an idle phase, to set up a communication with the data collector in order to send all or some of the data to the data collector and/or to receive them from the data collector. Alternatively, the data collector attempts to set up a communication with the terminal in order to send all or some of the data to the terminal and/or to receive them from the terminal. The setup of the communication is followed by the terminal sending a message to the data collector and the data collector, after receiving the message, continuing, interrupting and/or terminating the transmission of the data during communication on a basis of the content of the message.

Method for transmitting data

To optimally receive smart meter control messages transmitted by a concentrator, in a meter having a transceiver for bidirectional data interchange, despite its minimal resources, a current modulation reference frequency which is subject to drift is shifted by the instantaneous frequency difference between the current transmitter-side reference frequency and the current transceiver-side reference frequency in the concentrator. Therefore, the current reference frequencies correspond in the downlink without having to intervene in the meter. This frequency difference in the concentrator is obtained by comparing the current receiver-side demodulation reference frequency with the current transmitter-side reference frequency, and the current transceiver-side reference frequency, on the other hand, from messages from the transmitter of the concentrator and from the transceiver of the meter which are received using the receiver of the concentrator. A frequency-measuring comparator only needs to be connected upstream and downstream of the demodulator in the concentrator for this purpose.
