A method of delivering and deploying a valve prosthesis includes delivering the valve prosthesis disposed in a delivery catheter to a native valve, proximally retracting a delivery catheter tube of the delivery catheter such that three engagement arms of a support of the valve prosthesis are released from the delivery catheter tube and flare outwardly while an inflow frame portion of the support remains within a distal portion of the delivery catheter, and distally advancing the distal portion of the delivery catheter such that the inflow frame portion is released from the distal portion.

The plurality of anchors are configured to be emitted from the plurality of windows in order to anchor the prosthetic valve ring assembly to annulus tissue of a patient.

A valve prosthesis includes a support and a prosthetic valve coupled to the support. The support includes three engagement arms that meet one another at three respective junctures. The engagement arms are shaped so as to define three peak complexes at the three respective junctures and three troughs, each trough disposed between two of the peak complexes. The support further includes three support arms, each support arm having a first end coupled to a respective engagement arm between a respective trough of the respective engagement arm and a first one of the three respective junctures and a second end coupled to the respective engagement arm between the respective trough and a second one of the three respective junctures.

A prosthesis is provided for implantation at a native semilunar valve of a native valve complex, the native valve complex having three semilunar sinuses and three native commissures. The prosthesis includes a valve prosthesis support, which comprises a support structure comprising exactly three engagement arms that meet one another at three respective junctures. A blood flow reducing assembly includes a catheter shaft and an expandable occlusion member assembled with the catheter shaft. The expandable occlusion member includes foldable protrusions. One or more manipulation members are connected to the foldable protrusions and operative to move the foldable protrusions closer to or further away from one other. Movement of the foldable protrusions modifies occlusion ability of the foldable protrusions.

A device for fracturing calcifications in heart valves includes a tube formed with at least two longitudinal slits that form at least two struts. Each of the struts includes two or more pairs of notches formed on opposite sides of the strut. The struts have a contracted orientation in which the struts are not expanded outwards from the tube and an outwardly expanded orientation in which the struts are expanded outwards from the tube and have sufficient strength and rigidity to impact and fracture a calcification in a heart valve.
