A rocker valve comprising a rocker valve mechanism in a valve body. The mechanism comprises a single pivot arm to which first and second plungers are pivotally fixed to act in opposition. The rocker valve includes a flexible seal member extending laterally across the first and second fluid ports and having a first sealing region attached to a plunger head of the first plunger and a second sealing region attached to a plunger head of the second plunger. When the single pivot arm is pivoted relative to the valve body, a rotation of at least one of the first and second plungers about its respective fixed pivot is constrained solely by the flexible seal member such that a lateral position of the plunger head is automatically adjusted by the flexible seal member to balance tensile forces in the flexible seal member around the plunger head.

Devices and a method are described herein for fixing a valve to a base via a single point on the base. The valve may be fixed to the base using a plate inserted through a slot in the base and along a face of the valve body. The plate may include a head at one end to retain the plate in the slot. A valve may also be fixed to a base using a combination of a brace and a screw that threads into the base. The brace may include a lip that fits into a grove on the shaft of the screw. The valve body may include a lip to retain the combined screw and brace when the screw is not threaded into the base.

Apparatus and method for a valve fixation

A multiple coil solenoid valve () is provided. The multiple coil solenoid valve comprises a first solenoid coil (A) and at least a second solenoid coil (B). One or more magnetic cores () are positioned at least partially between the first and second solenoid coils (A,B). The multiple coil solenoid valve () also includes one or more movable armatures () movable between a first position and at least a second position. The one or more movable armatures () are positioned at least partially between the first and second solenoid coils (A,B).

The valve () comprises a valve body (), a valve seat insert () assembled to the valve body (), and a valve seal member () compressively assembled to and sealing to both the valve body () and the valve seat insert (), with the valve seal member () including one or more port apertures ().

A bistable valve () is provided according to an embodiment of the invention. The bistable valve () includes an armature () movable to selectively block and unblock at least a first port () and a biasing device () configured to provide a first biasing force that biases the armature () toward a first position blocking the first port (). The bistable valve () further includes a plurality of substantially radially magnetized permanent magnets () configured to provide a second biasing force to the armature () substantially opposite to the first biasing force and an electromagnetic coil () configured to generate a third biasing force when energized with a first current polarity. The third biasing force is substantially opposite to the first biasing force and in combination with the second biasing force overcomes the first biasing force and moves the armature ().

A valve unit () is provided according to the invention. The valve unit () includes a valve body (), two or more fasteners () adapted for affixing the valve body () to a base, and two or more fastener grooves () formed in two or more sides of the valve body (). The two or more corresponding fasteners () rest in the two or more fastener grooves (). The valve unit () further includes a fastener link () extending between the two or more fasteners () and holding the two or more fasteners () substantially in the two or more grooves ().
