There are described novel cross-linked polymers based on bis-silane, bis-thioether, bis-sulphoxide, bis-sulphone and butane-di-yl derivatives of polysaccharides and oligosaccharides, their shaping as support materials useful for the separation or preparation of enantiomers; a process for preparing the said cross-linked polymer compounds, a process for preparing balls of support materials containing the said cross-linked polymer compounds; a method of obtaining balls of support materials useful in chromatography or in organic synthesis; and the use of the said support materials containing the cross-linked polymer compounds in separation or in preparation of enantiomers, through employment in chromatography or organic synthesis processes in a heterogeneous medium; and the use of the said cross-linked polymer compounds in the form of membranes in processes using percolation through membranes for the separation or the preparation of enantiomers.

Mono- and di-derivatives of cyclodextrins are completely defined, also a method for their synthesis and purification, functionalised cyclodextrins obtained from these derivatives, and the synthesis of supports comprising these cyclodextrin derivatives. Use of the supports for the preparation or separation of enantiomers, for asymmetric synthesis, for catalysis, for the preparation or separation of geometrical isomers or positional isomers, or for the preparation or separation of organic molecules with a hydrophobic nature is also described.

Mono-and di-derivatives of cyclodextrins, synthesis thereof and purification and use thereof in support

There are described chloro-, hydroxy- and alkoxysilane derivatives of polysaccharides or oligosaccharides as novel compounds which are polymerizable and cross-linkable, and a method for obtaining them; novel support materials obtained from said derivatives and containing said silane derivatives of polysaccharides or oligosaccharides chemically grafted by a covalent bond with the support and polymerized and cross-linked in a three-dimensional network and a method for obtaining them; as well as the use of said material supports in separation or in preparation of enantiomers, through employment in gaseous, liquid or supercritical chromatography, by electrophoresis, electrochromatography or by percolation processes through membranes containing said support materials.

Chloro-, hydroxy- and alkoxysilane derivatives of polysaccharides or oligosaccharides, polymerizable and cross-linkable, their synthesis and their use as sources of novel support materials

The invention relates to a method which comprises synthesising bifunctional compounds then chiral compounds from the bifunctional compounds, also to synthesising supports comprising these chiral compounds, and the use of these supports for preparing or separating enantiomers, or for asymmetric synthesis. The invention also relates to bifunctional compounds, their use as a source of functionalised polymers, and to the chiral compounds, also to the use of these chiral compounds in a chiral support in the form of a three-dimensional network or for separating or preparing enantiomers, principally for analytical or preparative chromatography, and in a support for the production of chiral molecules by asymmetric synthesis.
