A system and method for authenticating a candidate user accessing a host computing device as an authentic user is provided. The host computing device is in communication with an authenticating computing device. The method includes receiving, by the authenticating computing device, a request to authenticate the candidate user as an authentic user. The authentication request includes a user identifier. The method also includes retrieving, by the authenticating computing device, transaction data including payment transactions performed by the authentic user based on the user identifier. The method also includes generating, by the authenticating computing device, a challenge question and a correct answer based on the transaction data associated with the authentic user, and transmitting the challenge question for display on a candidate user computing device used by the candidate user.

Methods and systems for leveraging transactions to dynamically authenticate a user

A computer-implemented method for tokenless authentication of a paying consumer during a payment transaction uses a computing device having a processor and a memory. The method includes receiving a plurality of biometric data sets for a plurality of consumers. Each biometric data set includes at least a biometric image of a consumer and an associated payment account identifier. The method also includes receiving, from a first biometric input device communicatively coupled to the processor, a first biometric image of the paying consumer including an iris image. The method further includes determining a payment account associated with the paying consumer based on at least the first biometric image and the plurality of biometric data sets. The method also includes authenticating use of the payment account by the paying consumer for a payment transaction at the retail location by comparing the first biometric image to the plurality of biometric data sets.

Systems and methods for tokenless authentication of consumers during payment transactions

A method for validating tax data of a taxable entity comprises: receiving at a computer processor, payment card transaction records including at least one of a customer identifier, a merchant identifier, and transaction purchase amounts corresponding to entity purchase transactions over a given time period; analyzing the payment card transaction records data to generate one or more spending profiles according to one or more categories of merchants; correlating the entity spending profiles with one or more other aggregated spending profiles representative of historical spending by additional entities whose reported income is within a given range of the entity reported income; comparing the degree of correlation with a threshold and generating a signal indicative of a request for secondary review of a tax filing of the entity when the degree of correlation is below the threshold; and otherwise generating a signal indicative of a validated tax filing of the entity.

A method implemented using a computing device in communication with one or more memory devices is provided. The method includes receiving a request from a client computing device to provide financial performance data for at least a first merchant of a plurality of merchants, retrieving transaction data associated with the plurality of merchants from the one or more memory devices wherein the transaction data is associated with payments processed through a payment network, comparing the transaction data associated with the first merchant to the transaction data associated with each of the plurality of merchants to determine at least one ranking of the first merchant relative to the plurality of merchants based on at least one financial performance factor, and transmitting the at least one ranking to the client computing device, in response to the request, without providing a name of the first merchant.

At least one of the plurality of images is a correct image and at least one of the plurality of images is an incorrect image.
