Systems and techniques for privacy preserving document analysis are described that derive insights pertaining to a digital document without communication of the content of the digital document. To do so, the privacy preserving document analysis techniques described herein capture visual or contextual features of the digital document and creates a stamp representation that represents these features without included the content of the digital document. The stamp representation is projected into a stamp embedding space based on a stamp encoding model generated through machine learning techniques capturing feature patterns and interaction in the stamp representations. The stamp encoding model exploits these feature interactions to define similarity of source documents based on location within the stamp embedding space. Accordingly, the techniques described herein can determine a similarity of documents without having access to the documents themselves.

Privacy preserving document analysis

Techniques are disclosed for identifying and populating static form fields using prior responses to similar form fields. An example method includes receiving an electronic form having, encoded in the form, static text and a static form field for containing information specific to a given user of the electronic form. Using an image recognition algorithm, a fillable form field candidate is identified based on a graphical representation of the static form field. An attribute of the fillable form field candidate can be identified based on the static text. A suggested response for populating the fillable form field candidate is selected from prior responses to other form fields having at least one attribute in common with the identified attribute of the fillable form field candidate. The prior responses are inputs obtained from or associated with the given user. The suggested response is presented to the user for subsequent acceptance or rejection.

Recognition and population of form fields in an electronic document

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for reusing components from an application are provided. In some implementations, a method includes associating a parent and child component in a source application. The components are used in the presentation of document data during navigation among documents. A navigation interface in an application window of the source application is presented, including presenting document data according to the parent and child components. Input adding the parent component from the source application window to an application window of a target application is received. It is determined that the output of the child component is connected with the input of the parent component, and then computer readable instructions associated with the parent component and the child component are inserted into the target application. A navigation interface is presented in the target application window, including presenting document data according to the parent and child components.

One exemplary embodiment involves a computer-implemented method comprising receiving, in a computing device, a first request to attach a file in a cell of a collaborative spreadsheet, wherein the first request comprises the file and a cell identifier, and wherein the collaborative spreadsheet comprises a spreadsheet configured to be accessed and modified simultaneously from a plurality of client devices. The method additionally comprises attaching, via a processor, the file to the collaborative spreadsheet at the cell corresponding to the cell identifier; and storing the file on a cloud storage device, wherein the file is stored to be accessible in conjunction with the collaborative spreadsheet.

Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media directed at predicting values for an electronic form. In embodiments, the method can include forming synonym groupings of form field labels for a number of users. The synonym groupings can be based on an analysis of the similarity of form field values that are associated with form field labels. In embodiments a predictive model may be generated from these synonym groupings. The predictive model can correlate the synonym groupings of one user with synonym groupings of one or more additional users to enable a determination of one or more predicted form field values for the one user based on a queried form field label even though the one user may have never submitted an electronic form with the queried form field label. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Various embodiments illustrated and described herein include one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures for package file presentation. Some embodiments include receiving a package file including a presentation specification, one or more content files, and metadata defining display elements within the presentation specification and associating each display element with one of the content files. The package file may then be presented by instantiating the presentation specification as a function of executable code embedded within the presentation specification. Some embodiments further include instantiating each display element, each display element including a link to an associated content file within the package file and to generate and distribute display elements within a graphical user interface.

Various embodiments described herein each provide one or more of systems, methods, software, and data structures that facilitate document-authorized access to a shared workspace. Some of these embodiments provide access to a shared workspace, such as a document review comment repository, through data embedded within a document. Some embodiments include receiving a reference content item, such as an image, map, or calendar, and mappings of package files to locations within the reference item for display. Techniques for content review with proxy comment management are presented. Comments associated with content review are managed separately from the content itself. Some comments are associated with participants internal to a secure network where the comments are managed while other comments are originally received from external participants located outside the secure network. The external comments are adopted by one or more of the internal participants that act as proxies for the external participants and their supplied comments. The proxy relationship permits the external comments to be added to the comments for the content review within the secure network.

A method and system to manage document workflow communication is provided. The system may include a polling module to poll a server at an active polling rate to obtain resources associated with a workflow of an electronic document, a ramp-down trigger detector to detect a workflow ramp-down trigger event, and a throttling module to initiate a ramp down of the polling of the server according to a ramp-down schedule. In one example embodiment, the electronic document workflow may be associated with collaborative review of the electronic document.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for reusing components from an application are provided. In some implementations, a method includes associating a parent and child component in a source application. The components are used in the presentation of document data during navigation among documents. A navigation interface in an application window of the source application is presented, including presenting document data according to the parent and child components. Input adding the parent component from the source application window to an application window of a target application is received. It is determined that the output of the child component is connected with the input of the parent component, and then computer-readable instructions associated with the parent component and the child component are inserted into the target application. In some embodiments, directing plug-in updates for software applications to a target audience using manifest parameters includes processing a manifest to determine that a plug-in is available for a software application on a device; determining whether a plurality of attributes associated with the plug-in match corresponding attributes associated with the device or the software application, in which the plurality of attributes are identified in the manifest; and automatically installing the plug-in if the plurality of attributes are determined to match.
