The Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) enables a beverage drinker of a stay-on-tab beverage can (100) to drink the beverage (600) without being subjected to unsanitary lid surface conditions . The Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) comprises a circular surface (210), a curved side wall (300) and a notch (500). The Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) is fastened to the stay-on-tab beverage can (100) and placed in its 'sanitary protection' position so that: a) the Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) covers the drinking contact area (190) and b) the notch (500) on the Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) allows access to the pull tab area (195). The beverage drinker rotates the Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) to move the Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) from its 'sanitary protection' position to its&#x201c;drinking access&#x201d; position so that: a) the circular surface (210) of the Rotatable Beverage Can Cover (200) covers the pull tab area (195): and b) the notch (500) allows access to the drinking contact area (190) and the scored opening (126).

A device and methods for intermixing playing cards in a card stack used in casino gaming. The device includes a card-edge lifting structure for lifting the edges of adjacent sub-stacks of playing cards and two push surfaces which translate the sub-stacks closer. When the cards from the adjacent sub-stacks slip past the shaft of the card-edge lifting structure, the cards fall and interleave. The cards are 'squared up' and repositioned, completing the card intermixing cycle. The card stack goes through a plurality of card intermixing cycles to obtain the necessary card randomness. Because the card falling is only being acted upon by gravity, the device is simple and compact. A number of embodiments that change the card falling characteristics and the randomness of the card stack are described. A card funnel is further described that allows a card stack to be 'squared up' prior to the card intermixing process, minimizing the misalignment of the card stack and potential failures in the card intermixing process.

Card shuffler apparatuses include a card repositioner used to randomly reposition a plurality of cards on-edge over an aperture extending through a card support surface to allow cards to sequentially pass through the aperture in a random order. The apparatuses may be capable of continuously and sequentially forming playing card hands for use in a game. Shuffler apparatuses may be used to obtain a measurement relating to a thickness of the deck of cards. Methods involve the use of card shuffler apparatuses to form one or more playing card hands in a playing card game. Additional methods involve counting playing cards present within a stack of playing cards using a shuffler apparatus. In further methods, a number of shuffler apparatuses and a lesser number of shuffler activation devices are provided in a gaming establishment so as to preclude simultaneous use of all the shuffler apparatuses in the establishment.

A container includes a canister having an upper lip, and an operator having an operator main body. The operator has a gripping ring at one end that defines an operator upper lip and a container opening. The gripping ring outside diameter is greater than an outside diameter of the operator main body. The canister includes a helical grooved canister engagement feature which extends about the canister. The operator includes an operator engagement feature which is a longitudinal slot formed through the operator main body. A lift having a lift projection is received in the operator, and the operator main body is received within the canister, with the lift projection extending through the operator engagement feature and into the canister engagement feature. The gripping ring extends at least partially over the canister upper lip, and a lower edge of the gripping ring is located adjacent the canister upper lip.

An exciter is also included, and is adapted to impart vibrational action to the supported cards. Cards drop in a random fashion such as by controlling the relative position of the cards and passage through one or more card slots in a card rest. In at least some of the apparatuses, a medial card receiver is adapted to receive at least one card dropped from the card support and to retain the at least one received card to substantially block the card slot to prevent further cards from dropping. A positioner is preferably included to change a relative position of the unshuffled deck and card slots though which the cards drop.
