A footwear assembly includes at least one article of footwear with an upper, a sole structure coupled with the upper, a housing that houses a motor, a gear train that is configured to be driven by the motor, and a spool that is configured to loosen or tighten a first lace, a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that are disposed under a cover of the housing, and a control printed circuit board (PCB) having a wireless communication module. The footwear assembly further includes an electronic device wirelessly coupled with the wireless communication module. The first lace can be incrementally tightened or loosened by tapping a region of the at least one article of footwear to initiate a tighten command or a loosen command.

Article of footwear having an automatic lacing system

The invention relates to a shoe (), especially to a sports shoe, with a shoe upper () and a sole () connected with the shoe upper (), wherein the shoe () comprises a central fastener () for lacing the shoe () at the foot of a wearer, wherein the central fastener () comprises at least one tensioning element () which is arranged on or in a region of the shoe upper () by which a lacing force can be exerted onto the region of the shoe upper () and at least one gear element () driven by an electric motor (), wherein a section () of the tensioning element () can be pulled against a fixed location () of the shoe () by means of the gear element () to create a tensioning force for lacing the shoe () at the foot of the wearer. To provide a compact central closure system the invention proposes that the section () of the tensioning element () is a strap which comprises a gearing () or a profile, wherein the gear element () comprises a worm () which engages into the gearing () or profile to pull the strap () in a translational direction (T) at the rotation of the worm ().

Shoe, especially a sports shoe

A lacing system for an article of footwear has a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a heel region. The system includes a sole structure, an upper attached to the sole structure, the upper having a lateral side, a medial side, and a tongue, a housing that is disposed along the tongue and entirely within the midfoot region, and an electronics assembly enclosed entirely within the housing. The electronics assembly includes at least a motor and a gear assembly. A first lace extends from the housing through a first aperture and a second aperture, and the first lace is drawn into the housing when the motor is activated by a user.

A shoe is disclosed that includes an upper having a closure mechanism that is arranged for lacing the shoe by at least one tensioning element, a rotatably arranged tensioning roller disposed within the closure mechanism, the tensioning roller being driven by an electric motor, and a closing button in communication with a control system for generating a closing signal that is configured to actuate the electric motor to lace the shoe. The closure mechanism is configured to tighten the shoe with a first level of lacing power when a first closing signal is generated and tighten the shoe with a second level of lacing power when a second closing signal is generated.

A footwear assembly includes at least one article of footwear having an upper and a housing disposed along the upper. A first lace extends along portions of the upper and into the housing through a first lateral aperture or a first medial aperture. The housing defines a swipe panel, a sole structure coupled with the upper, and a control PCB comprising a wireless communication module. The footwear assembly further includes an electronic device wirelessly coupled with the wireless communication module. The first lace can be incrementally tightened or loosened by swiping the swipe panel or via an input on a display screen of the electronic device.

A lacing system for an article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper attached to the sole structure, the upper comprising a lateral side, a medial side, and an instep region, a housing disposed adjacent the instep region, wherein a first lace and a second lace extend through a plurality of eyelets along the upper and into the housing, a motor disposed within the housing, the motor comprising a motor shaft and a motor gear, and a gear train in communication with the motor gear. When the motor shaft rotates, the first lace and the second lace are drawn into the housing via a wheel gear that is in communication with the gear train.

A lacing system for an article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper attached to the sole structure, the upper comprising a lateral side, a medial side, and a tongue, and a housing disposed adjacent the tongue. A plurality of lateral eyelets are disposed along the lateral side of the upper and a plurality of medial eyelets are disposed along the medial side of the upper. A first lace extends from the housing through the plurality of lateral eyelets, and a second lace extends from the housing through the plurality of medial eyelets.

A method is disclosed for lacing a shoe that includes an upper on which a rotating closure is arranged for lacing the shoe by means of at least one tensioning element. The method includes lacing the shoe with a first level of lacing power, resulting in a first tension of the at least one tensioning element, when the user of the shoe generates a first closing signal (S) by means of the closing button, or alternatively lacing the shoe with a second level of lacing power, resulting in a second tension of the at least one tensioning element, which is higher than the first tension, when the user of the shoe generates a second closing signal (S) by means of the closing button, which is different from the first closing signal.

Method for lacing a shoe, particularly a sports shoe

An athletic shoe, having a shoe upper and a rotary closure for lacing the shoe on the foot of the wearer by at least one tensioning element. The rotary closure is arranged on the instep of the shoe. The rotary closure has a rotatably arranged tension roller and is driven by an electric motor via a transmission. The transmission includes a first spur gear of the first spur gear stage that meshes with a drive pinion of the electric motor, a pinion, connected to the first spur gear in a rotationally fixed manner, that meshes with a second spur gear of a second spur gear stage, wherein the second spur gear is connected to a worm of a worm gear, and the worm meshes with a worm wheel.
