An assembly for preloading a cable rotary-pendulum kinematic system is provided. The assembly includes a rotational body of a cable rotary-pendulum kinematic system. The rotational body is configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof and is immovable in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The assembly further includes at least one gas spring surrounding the rotational body and which may be compressed in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The assembly further includes primary cables, which force-lockingly connect the rotational body to the gas spring in such a way that a rotational motion of the rotational body causes compression of the gas spring, whereby the assembly is preloaded.

A device for generating a flow of air, particularly for cooling electronic components, with an annular piezo element and an emitter element, wherein the annular piezo element can be vibrated radially by applying an alternating voltage, the emitter element is coupled radially to the annular piezo element, and wherein the radial vibration of the annular piezo element is configured so as to set the emitter element into axial vibration to generate the air flow which thereby permits a device of small dimensions for generating the an air flow to be created that is simultaneously characterized by low energy consumption and a long service life.

Methods and arrangements for determining the fineness of a ground material in a mill are provided, wherein the acoustic spectrum of the mill during the grinding process is used for concluding the fineness. The mill comprises a drum in which the ground material is present during the grinding process, said drum being driven by a magnetic drive having at least one magnetic segment during the grinding process, so that a rotating magnetic field generated with the aid of the magnetic drive causes the drum to rotate. In order to determine the acoustic spectrum, a voltage induced in a coil of the magnetic segment is determined at least intermittently. On the basis of a model, using the detected time-dependent induced voltage, conclusions can be drawn about the acoustic spectrum and therefrom about the fineness.

A pressure regulator can be used particularly in a CNG-operated motor vehicle as an electronically controlled pressure reducer for maintaining the gas pressure constant on the injection valve used for filling the respective cylinder. The invention relates to an injection valve which has a piezo actuator that is functionally connected to a nozzle needle by a hydraulic transmission device. The hydraulic transmission device is connected to a pressure reservoir by a sealing gap so that the pressure differences between the pressure reservoir and a hydraulic chamber of the hydraulic transmission device are compensated in the long term.

A fluid dosing device for a pressurized liquid is disclosed, which comprises a chamber () which is supplied with pressurized liquid by means of a liquid supply line (); a valve needle () which is guided through the chamber (), the first end section of said valve needle being able to be lifted and the second end section thereof forming a valve in conjunction with a valve seat disposed on the housing (). Metal bellows () are provided as a leadthrough element for the first end section of the valve needle (). The metal bellows seal the chamber in said region in a tight manner. A metering device and method for delivering fluid that employs a compensating element. The metering device has a housing defining a fluid chamber that contains a pressurized fluid. The-housing further encloses an actuating drive, a valve needle and a compensating element. The housing terminates at a housing opening for delivery of fluid to the outside of the housing. Fluid is delivered from the housing by moving the actuating drive which in turn displaces the valve needle in an opening direction. Upon displacement of the valve needle, the valve needle moves axially in the opening direction with little, if any, lift loss due to the compensating element. The compensating element further acts to compensate for shifting or movement of metering components due to external factors, such as varying thermal loads, aging effects, and settling effects.

For diagnosing coupled piezo-mechanical systems, methods are used which utilize electrical characteristic curves of the piezo-element that is contained in the piezo-mechanical systems. These electrical characteristic curves contain information about the mechanical condition of the overall piezo-mechanical system, which can be interpreted by suitable evaluating methods. It is thus possible to perform a diagnosis in which malfunctions and failures of the piezo-mechanical system can be detected (e.g. wear or failure of particular components). An important field of application is the diagnosis of fuel injectors which are controlled via piezo-actuators.

A fluid metering device that employs a sealing element for delivering a metered dose of a pressurized fluid. The sealing element includes a metal bellows sealing element or metal bellows that attaches to a valve needle and a housing. The metal bellows includes a number of corrugated elements for sealingly guiding said valve needle as the valve needle moves to deliver the metered dose of pressurized fluid.

In a plate valve, particularly a cone spray valve, the valve gap, or respectively, seal gap (,) which is present in the open condition is not designed with parallel faces, but with cross-sectional areas which remain the same given increasing radius. This approach applies to a set from the interior outward. The advantage consists in the avoidance of cavitation and in the achievement of a low closing force for sealing the valve.

The compensation element is compensating for temperature-conditioned length changes of an object. An injection valve that is fully functional in the entire range of the operating temperatures of a motor requires a device that compensates thermally conditioned length changes of the mechanical components (piezo-electric actuator, valve lifter, housing, etc.). This device should be capable of absorbing great forces and allow a stiff bearing of the actuator. The compensation element (3) has an oil-filled chamber (21) is composed of an actuator-side upper part (18), of a lower part (19) supported on a stiff bearing (valve housing 17), and of a structure (annular seal element 20) sealing the chamber (21) and yielding in an axial direction. Since the compensation element (3) is fitted into an annular holder (4) with little lateral play, every temperature-conditioned change of the oil or, respectively, chamber volume results in a displacement of the upper housing part (18) in an axial direction that is proportional to the volume change. As a result of a corresponding dimensioning of the chamber height, temperature-conditioned length changes of the valve housing (4) and of the piezo-electric actuator (2) can be compensated using the extremely compactly constructed and comparatively rigid compensation element (3).
