A polymorphic antenna, including a metallic template configurable in at least first and second possible different three-dimensional shapes, the antenna, when configured in the at least first and second different three-dimensional shapes, having a common antenna feed point, a common balun coupled to the common antenna feed point; and a common dipole coupled to the common antenna feed point and to the common balun. The antenna operates in a common frequency band when configured in either of the at least first and second different three-dimensional shapes when fed via the common antenna feed point.

Conformable antenna

A multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antenna is provided. The MIMO antenna may include, but is not limited to, a printed circuit board having a plurality of edges and a ground layer including, but not limited to a plurality of antenna element mounting locations, at least one of the plurality of antenna element mounting locations being arranged on a first side of the printed circuit board and at least one of the plurality of antenna element mounting locations being arranged on a second side of the printed circuit board, a plurality of slots, each of the plurality of slots extending a predetermined distance from an edge of the printed circuit board, and at least one ground stub, the at least one ground stub comprising an extension of the ground layer of a predetermined electrical length at a predetermined angle relative to the edge of the printed circuit board.

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna

An antenna, including at least one set of conductive arms radiative at a resonant frequency, the at least one set of conductive arms including a first conductive arm having a first terminus and a second conductive arm having a second terminus, the first and second termini being closely spaced so as to form a capacitive gap therebetween, the capacitive gap having a width, a feed connection located on the first conductive arm, a first electrical length being defined along the first conductive arm between the feed connection and the first terminus, a ground connection located on the second conductive arm, a second electrical length being defined along the second conductive arm between the ground connection and the second terminus, the resonant frequency depending at least on the width of the capacitive gap and on the first and second electrical lengths, a total electrical length along the set of conductive arms between the first and second termini being less than or equal to half of a wavelength corresponding to the resonant frequency, and a balun coupled to the first and second conductive arms.

Compact antenna with dual tuning mechanism

A vertical polarized omni-directional monopole antenna including a single folded sheet of metal including a ground plane portion, from which extend generally perpendicularly thereto at least four posts, which terminate in respective diagonally extending portions extending generally perpendicularly to the posts, the diagonally extending portions being joined at first and second junction portions, and a connection portion extending from the second junction portion and a coaxial cable having a first conductor coupled to the connection portion and a second conductor coupled to the ground plane portion.
