The Comparative Tracking Index of a flame retardant polyketone blend of polyketone polymer and glass filler is improved by formulating the flame retardant as a mixture of alkaline earth metal hydroxide or carbonate and zinc compound.

Flame retardant polyketone polymer blend

A blend of polyketone and polycarbonate polymers is presented. The polymer blend is produced by blending polyketone polymer, polycarbonate polymer, and a reactive graft compatibilizer. The a reactive graft compatibilizer compatibilizes the blend.

Compatibilized polyketone polymer blend

It is disclosed a toughened polyamide comprising a polyamide, such as Nylon 6, and a minor amount of a linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one or more ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbon. The toughened polyamide has and exhibits improved properties such as Notched Izod strength and flexural modulus and can be used in the manufacture of articles suitable in many applications.
