A method of manufacturing a fluid ejection device includes providing a barrier layer and an orifice layer on a substrate, laminating a layer of photo-resist over a substantially planar surface of the orifice layer, forming an orifice in the orifice layer, and forming a counterbore in the layer of photo-resist, with forming a counterbore in the layer of photo-resist including exposing a portion of the substantially planar surface of the orifice layer within the counterbore.

Method of manufacturing fluid ejection device with dry-film photo-resist layer

A projection screen () includes a plurality of asperities () extending from a substrate, the asperities having faces oriented in a plurality of directions. A photosensitive material is disposed preferentially on the faces so that a differing amount of photosensitive material is present on faces oriented generally toward a projector direction () relative to faces oriented generally away from the projector direction ().

Compositions and systems for labeling substrates, such as optical disks, using leuco dye-containing coating compositions are described. The composition can comprise a color forming composition, an electromagnetic radiation absorber, and a stabilizing agent. The color forming composition can include a leuco dye, a hexaarylbiimidazole activator, and an acid-generating source. The absorber can be admixed with or in thermal contact with the color forming composition. The stabilizing agent can be configured for protecting the leuco dye upon exposure to ambient light, wherein the stabilizing agent comprises a diarylguanidine dye salt. The coating composition can be optimized for development using electromagnetic radiation having a frequency from about 760 nm and 800 nm.

Methods of manufacturing a fluid ejection device comprise, in one embodiment, forming filler structures on a substrate and laminating a dry film onto the substrate over the filler structures. The dry film defines a barrier layer around the filler structures and an orifice layer above the filler structures. The filler structures are removed to form voids within the barrier layer.
