A jig supports an array of cameras on a platform using a plurality of brackets among which one is immovably secured to the platform at a center of the array while the remainder is pivotally connected to the platform. A computer-implemented system creates an interlaced image. The system includes a trigger mechanism operatively coupled to the cameras to effect nearly simultaneous image capture. A focal target and a sizing reference are provided at a focal position of the lenses. A computer having a processor and a memory executes code that interlaces bands of images captured from each of the cameras, at nearly a single point in time, into an interlaced image and processes the sizing reference and adjusts a size of one or more of the captured images for inclusion in the interlaced image.

The present invention provides a non-invasive method for administering polypeptides across epithelial membranes. The formulations in the present invention comprise solid polypeptide particles mixed with a permeation enhancer and excipients which are dispersed in a media for oral or intranasal administration. Also provided in the present invention is a process to prepare the formulations.

Formulations for administering calcitonin and processes for preparing the same

A stable formulation is disclosed that enables the effective intra-oral delivery to a patient of a pharmaceutical agent. The formulation comprises the pharmaceutical agent mixed with an orally-acceptable oral-absorption enhancer in an orally-acceptable carrier-solvent, wherein the oral-absorption enhancer is adapted to modify the surface membrane such that absorption through the surface membrane is initiated or increased. Formulation and system for intra-oral delivery of pharmaceutical agents

A formulation for non-invasive delivery of pharmaceutical agents, particularly proteins and peptides, by absorption through a membrane at a targeted site is provided, along with a process of making the formulation. The formulation comprises a suspension of solid-phase dehydrated particles in a delivery medium. The particles comprise the dehydration product of the pharmaceutical agent and at least one of a surfactant and permeation enhancer, and the delivery medium preferably comprises a propellant for pressurized aerosol delivery of the formulation. The formulation can be conveniently delivered to the patient's targeted site where the pharmaceutical agent is absorbed through the mucosa to achieve a desired bioavailability.

A highway sign includes a reflective back surface and a biased lenticular lens front surface for reflecting light back in the direction of the original light source. The reflective back surface preferably comprises a plurality of corner cubic reflectors arranged in a regular matrix. The biased lenticular lens front surface comprises arcuate surfaces, or flat surfaces having arcuate indentations, separated by relatively flat surfaces which are substantially perpendicular to the plane of the reflective surface and which form a saw-toothed pattern when seen in profile. Printing can be applied to the lens surface to form traffic control messages or indicia. The biased lenticular front surface diffuses the oncoming light, thus providing a uniform reflective surface. The reflective surface and biased lenticular lens system can be formed from a single integrated sheet of polycarbonate plastic or similar material. The sign is relatively inexpensive to manufacture, substantially waterproof and effective in reflecting light back in the direction of an oncoming automobile.

A device for testing the adherence of a coating to a material includes a cone section and roller for bending the material around the cone section. The bent piece has a sharp bend at one end and a gradual bend at the other end. The proximity to the sharp bend at which flaking of the coating from the substrate occurs is a measure of the adherence of the coating to the material.
