Methods and systems described in this disclosure are directed at developing a life planner for a user based on data collected from various data sources. The life plan is displayed using a timeline that includes events generated from the collected data. As additional data is received, the timeline is updated to reflect the changes or additions to the data. In some embodiments, the life plan includes recommendations and predictions pertaining to a financial plan for the user based on his or her expenses and income.

Policies for displaying such content can be set by business personnel obviating the need to hard-code such policies by information technology personnel. Personalization may be initiated by member login information, where such login information allows for the matching up of a member's profile against stored data corresponding to such a profile. The present invention provides a system and method of managing Internet browser navigation. Software code designed to interact with and control the user's Internet browser is embedded into web pages made available to remote users by a web server. Embedded software code is read by the user's Internet browser upon loading a requested web page. Embedded software code directs the browser to store one or more attributes upon the remote user's computer system. Stored attributes may then be compared to attributes embedded within subsequently requested web pages to determine if the requested web page, or a corrected web page, should be displayed.

A data source generates a requested page for an electronic network site to include inserted tracking parameters to aid in tracking the activities of the user at the site. The site receives the generated page with the inserted tracking parameters and returns to a user the received page as the requested page with the inserted tracking parameters removed therefrom. The site appends the removed tracking parameters to the URL associated with the returned page at the query string thereof, and sends to a tracking database the appended URL. The tracking database stores the sent URL for being accessed by one or more analytical tools to analyze the tracking parameters regarding the activities of the user at the site.
