The present teaching relates to a method, system, and programming for content personalization. A request is received from a user to obtain a content item. Information indicative of a literacy-level of the user is obtained and the content item to be provided to the user is retrieved. The content item is modified by updating information included in the content item based on the literacy-level of the user to generate an updated content item. The updated content item is provided to the user in response to the request.

Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in distributional similarity identification using randomized observations. In connection with an intrusion detection system monitoring a computing system, a pair of perturbed sample sets are generating using a pair of real sample set (or real observations) and a pair of random sample sets (of randomly-selected observations), and a similarity measuring representing a level of consistency in user behavior is determined. The systems improve the quality and accuracy of the similarity determination for use in intrusion detection.

A prediction is generated according to the training sample and based on one or more parameters associated with a model. A metric characterizing the prediction is also determined. The prediction and the metric are transmitted to the source to facilitate a determination on whether a ground truth label for the training sample is to be provided. When the ground truth label is received from the source, the one or more parameters of the model are updated based on the prediction and the ground truth label.

One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for mailbox-based coupon display are provided. For example, a plurality of email messages stored in a mailbox of a first email account of a first user may be identified, and may be evaluated to identify a plurality of coupons. The plurality of coupons may be analyzed to determine one or more coupon features. User data and/or activity data associated with the first user may be analyzed to determine one or more user features. A predictive model may be tuned based upon the one or more coupon features and/or the one or more user features. A set of scores may be generated for the plurality of coupons based upon the predictive model. Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content providing, searching and/or hosting systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel framework that automatically generates and recommends Internet memes for inclusion within electronically communicated messages. As a user is drafting a message, the input text of the drafted message is analyzed and a set of Internet (or visual) memes are compiled and presented to the user within the drafting interface. Upon selection of at least one of the memes, the message is modified by automatically removing the text from the message and replacing the now removed text with the selected meme.

Techniques for clustering non-stationary data are disclosed. In embodiments, a method is disclosed comprising initializing a plurality of functional centroids; partitioning a non-stationary data set, using the functional centroids, into partitions, the number of partitions being equal to the number of functional centroids; generating a set of fitted functional centroids for each of the partitions; replacing at least one of the functional centroids with a corresponding fitted functional centroid if a computed energy of the corresponding fitted functional centroid is less than an energy of the at least one functional centroid; computing a summation of the energies associated with each of the functional centroids; and outputting the functional centroids upon determining that a termination condition is met.

Temporal clustering of non-stationary data

Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for anonymizing electronic documents. In accordance with one or more embodiments, structurally-similar electronic documents can be identified among a group of electronic documents (e.g., e-mail messages, documents containing HTML formatting, etc.). A hash function can be specifically tailored to identify the similarly structured documents. The structurally-similar electronic documents can be grouped into a same equivalence class. Masked anonymized document samples can be generated from the structurally-similar electronic documents utilizing the same equivalence class, thereby ensuring that the anonymized document samples when viewed as a part of an audit remain anonymous. An online process is provided to guarantee k-anonymity of the users over the entire lifetime of the auditing process. An auditor's productivity can be measured based on the amount of content revealed to the auditor within the samples he is assigned. The auditor's productivity is maximized while ensuring anonymization over the lifetime of the audit.

Enforcing anonymity in the auditing of electronic documents

Methods, systems and programming for predicting search results quality. In one example, a search query is received from a user. A plurality of search results are obtained from a content source based on the search query. The plurality of search results are ranked based on their relevance scores with respect to the search query. A distribution of the relevance scores of the plurality of search results is normalized in each position of the ranking. A metric of the content source is computed based on the normalized distribution of the relevance scores. The metric indicates a relevance between the plurality of search results and the search query.

Method and system for predicting search results quality in vertical ranking

A method for discovering association rules in a distributed database that includes a plurality of partitions associated with respective computing nodes includes generating a candidate association rule defining an association relationship between itemsets in the distributed database. At each node among at least a subset of the nodes, an asynchronous fully-distributed majority voting process is applied to assess a correctness of the candidate association rule.
