Systems and methods are provided for flow control in a wireless communication system. In certain aspects, an apparatus for wireless communications comprises an interface configured to receive, from a wireless node, one or more parameters specifying a memory at the wireless node, and an indication of an amount of free memory space in the memory at the wireless node. The apparatus also comprises a processing system configured to determine a number of data units to be transmitted to the wireless node based on the indication of the amount of free memory space and the one or more parameters, wherein the interface is further configured to output data units for transmission to the wireless node, wherein a number of the data units output for transmission to the wireless node equals the determined number of data units.

Flow control for wireless devices

A two-stage technique for compressing radar data is disclosed in which, in the first stage, Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) compression is conducted using a median calculated from at least one dimension of radar data, which is then used to determine filtering threshold values for all dimensions of the radar data. The radar data is then compressed by filtering the radar data based on the filtering threshold values. In the second stage, peak detection is then performed on the compressed data to identify detected objects (targets). These and other embodiments are described herein.

Efficient compression of radar data

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques that may help reduce sector sweep time. In some cases, the techniques involve generating frames for transmission during a sector sweep procedure, each frame including one or more address fields being determined based on at least one of a transmitter address of the apparatus or a receiver address of an intended recipient of the generated frames and having fewer bits than at least one of the transmitter address or the receiver address.

Technique for reducing sector sweep time for millimeter-wave devices

A technique is disclosed for reducing interference in a communication system including a plurality of wireless devices. A first device transmits an RTS-TRN frame including a Request to Send (RTS) portion and a first beam training sequence to determine whether a communication medium is available to communicate with a second device. If the communication medium is available, the second device transmits a CTS-TRN frame including a Clear to Send (CTS) portion and a second beam training sequence. One or more neighboring devices that receive the RTS-TRN frame and/or the CTS-TRN frame configure their respective antennas to generate one or more nulls aimed at the first and second devices when transmitting signals, as long as the first and second devices are communicating based on a duration field in the RTS-TRN frame and/or CTS-TRN frame. This reduces interference at the first and/or second devices.

System and method for reducing interference from neighboring wireless devices

A method for accelerating execution of read operations in a distributed interconnect peripheral bus, the distributed interconnect peripheral bus is coupled to a host controller being connected to a universal serial bus (USB) device. The method comprises synchronizing on at least one ring assigned to the USB device; pre-fetching transfer request blocks (TRBs) maintained in the at least one ring, wherein the TRBs are saved in a host memory; saving the pre-fetched TRBs in an internal cache memory; upon reception of a TRB read request from the host controller, serving the request by transferring the requested TRB from the internal cache memory to the host controller; and sending a TRB read completion message to the host controller.

Techniques for improving throughput and performance of a distributed interconnect peripheral bus connected to a host controller

A method for accelerating execution of read operations in a distributed interconnect peripheral bus is provided. The method comprises generating a first number of speculative read requests addressed to an address space related to a last read request served on the bus; sending the speculative read requests to a root component connected to the bus; receiving a second number of read completion messages from the root component of the bus; and sending a read completion message out of the received read completion messages component to the endpoint component only if the read completion message is respective of a real read request or a valid speculative read request out of the speculative read requests, wherein a real read request is issued by the endpoint component.
