A cut-off saw includes at least one cooling air path through the interior space of the saw housing. The path enters the saw housing via a housing rear inlet opening and/or a housing side inlet opening. Upon exiting the saw housing via a housing side outlet opening and/or a housing front outlet opening, the exhausted air forms an air curtain that moves dust away from the front end of the saw.

A cut-off saw includes a saw housing having a support arm that protrudes outward from the housing front end and supports a rotatable cutting blade. A blade drive assembly disposed in the support arm includes a gear set and is configured to transmit rotational motion of a motor to the cutting blade. The saw housing includes housing features that are configured to minimize entrance of water into the interior space in applications where cutting is water cooled.

The power tool includes a lifter gear including a lifter gear wheel portion, and a plurality of teeth extending radially from the lifter gear wheel portion and configured to engage the rack. A hub includes a first end operably connected to a motor output and a second end including a hub wheel portion. A first receptacle is provided in one of the lifter gear and the hub and a first bearing element extends from the other of the lifter gear and the hub into the first receptacle. A first elastomeric damper is positioned within the first receptacle between the first bearing element and a bearing element defined portion of the first receptacle.

A collapsible folding stand for use with a portable table saw that is attached to the stand. In a closed position, the stand is generally vertically oriented with the object attached to a top frame. To open the stand a locking mechanism is released which enables a folding mechanism supporting the top frame to unfold in a manner whereby the rear legs having wheels that separate from forward side struts which contact the ground, with the center of gravity of the object being positioned between the wheels and the front ground contact points so that the weight of the object tends to separate the same and bring the top frame into a generally horizontal position. To move the rolling stand to its closed position, the user needs only to lift the handle and the top frame will then move to its generally vertical closed position.

A reciprocating cutting tool configured for orbital cutting, includes a housing, a power source disposed in the housing, a main linkage connected to the power source and to a blade for driving the blade in a vertically reciprocating motion, a foot plate connected to the housing and including a portion in operational relationship to the blade, a swivel bracket connected to the foot plate and disposed to exert an orbital force to a rear edge of the blade. A plunger is secured within the housing and connected to the linkage for reciprocating, pivotal and rotational movement, and has an end configured for receiving a blade. A selector mechanism for selecting at least between pivotal and rotational movement of the plunger, wherein the pivotal movement relates to orbital blade motion, and the rotational movement relates to scrolling blade motion.

A power hand tool foot assembly includes a platform having an arch portion. A swivel lock is within the arch portion, with a mount connecting the swivel lock to the tool housing. A lever is pivotally mounted on the mount. When the lever is in a locked position, the swivel lock and platform are locked in place. When the lever is in an open position, the longitudinal and angular position of the platform and swivel lock may be adjusted.

A method of programming a controller for a movable barrier operator includes enabling and disabling an input device within a predetermined period of time, a predetermined number of times. This sequence of short activations of an input device, such as a switch on a wall unit, puts the controller in a learn mode or a programmed state.
