A lighting system comprises a lighting arrangement () and a controller for controlling the lighting arrangement. The lighting arrangement comprises an artificial skylight (-) and a functional general lighting device () for providing horizontal light. The functional general lighting device comprises a horizontal luminous surface. The functional general lighting device is positioned in parallel and adjacent to the artificial skylight. A spacing between the functional general lighting device and the artificial skylight does not exceed the width of the artificial skylight. The controller is configured to control the artificial skylight and the functional general lighting device to render different light effects of a dynamic light scene. The dynamic light scene specifies a temporal sequence of light effects for each of a plurality of lighting devices, including the artificial skylight and the functional general lighting device.

Immersive outdoor lighting emulation

A system is configured to receive light sensor data from a light sensor and determine a visibility threshold () based on the light sensor data. The light sensor data is indicative of an ambient light level. The system is further configured to determine the plurality of light effects to be rendered by a lighting device and determine whether light intensity levels () of the plurality of light effects exceed the visibility threshold. The system is further configured to increase at least one of the light intensity levels above the visibility threshold, to harmonize the at least one light intensity level with the ambient light level, upon determining that the at least one light intensity level does not exceed the visibility threshold, and control the lighting device to render the plurality of light effects with the adjusted light intensity levels ().

A lighting script&#x2014;for use by a lighting controller to control at least one luminaire to render illumination effects, as the video content is outputted in a space illuminated by the at least one luminaire, synchronously with the outputting of the video content&#x2014;is generated as follows. Frame image data of the video content is processed to determine at least one color palette of the frame image data. A sequence of illumination effects&#x2014;to be rendered during the outputting of the video content and which is modifiable by a user&#x2014;is displayed to the user. The displayed sequence conveys at least one illumination color derived from the determined color palette to be rendered in at least one of the illumination effects. The generated lighting script is for rendering the modified sequence of illumination effects.

Controlling a lighting system

A phototherapy device with pain location input phototherapy device for relieving nociceptive pain of a body part of a user by illumination of at least a part of the body part. The present invention relates to a control device adapted to control properties of light emitted from a light source. The control device may comprise a touch-sensitive user interface adapted to visually indicate a range of available values representing at least one of the properties and to enable a user to control the represented property on the basis of a location touched on the touch-sensitive user interface. The controlled property may be adjusted by means of a communication unit adapted to communicate to the light source control signals corresponding to user input. The user interface may comprise at least one discontinuity-indicating element adapted to visually indicate a step discontinuity in the range of available values representing the at least one property.

Lighting control device having a touch sensitive user interface

A data processing system, e.g., a remote control device, has a pressure-sensitive touch screen arranged over a display monitor. The monitor provides a visual indication depending on a magnitude of a pressure registered by the touch screen.
