A lubricating and cooling fluid for an electric motor system including a lubricating base oil, at least one sulfurized component, a dispersant system comprising at least two dispersants, and a friction modifier system comprising at least two friction modifiers. The lubricating and cooling fluid provides good wear and friction performance as well as good copper corrosion and electrical conductivity for use in electric motor system.

An additive composition may comprise at least one phosphorus- and boron-containing dispersant, at least one boron-containing dispersant, and at least one detergent. Such composition may be useful in power transmissions to provide improved anti-shudder performance and/or improved friction durability.

Methods for providing steel-on-steel friction and/or steel-on-paper friction with lubricant compositions for power transmitting fluids

The present disclosure provides a fluid for lubricating the clutch-only portion of a wet clutch in a dual clutch transmission. The fluid provides high dynamic friction durability and comprises an oil of lubricating viscosity formulated with additive components comprising: i) at least one metal detergent; ii) at least one phosphorus-based wear preventative; iii) a phosphorylated and boronated dispersant different than the at least one phosphorus-based wear preventative; iv) a sulfurized extreme pressure agent; and a ratio between the content (ppm) of the sulfur based on the total weight of the fluid composition and a content (ppm) of phosphorus based on the total weight of the fluid composition ranging from about 2.0 to about 0.5 (ppm/ppm).
