Various exemplary embodiments relate to a method performed by a pulsewidth modulation (PWM) controller, the method including: receiving a control input including PWM parameters; producing inputs to a digital serializer, wherein the inputs result in a digital serializer output that is pulsewidth modulated according to the PWM parameters; receiving a feedback control input; and modifying inputs to a digital serializer based upon the feedback control input.

Various exemplary embodiments relate to a compact small form-factor pluggable (CSFP) module including: a CSFP connector; a dual Ethernet receptacle; a first Ethernet transceiver connected between the CSFP connector and the dual Ethernet connector; a second Ethernet transceiver connected between the CSFP connector and the dual Ethernet connector; a processor connected to the CSFP connector, the first Ethernet transceiver, and the second Ethernet transceiver, wherein the processor receives control messages from the CSFP connector and wherein the processor transmits control messages to the first and second Ethernet transceivers.

An increased connector port density assembly is disclosed for providing more connector ports than would normally fit on a faceplate. The increased connector port density assembly includes a stationary board and an extendable board connected to the stationary board on rails and with cabling. The extendable board has a first and second set of forward facing connector assemblies. The first set accessible when the extendable board is in either the retracted or extended position, whereas the second set of connector assemblies is accessible when the extendable board is in the extended position. The increased connector port density assembly is particularly useful for overcoming faceplate connector area availability limitations known in the art.

A method and an apparatus to measure current in power switching supplies are disclosed for simplification of in-circuit measurement. The method and apparatus to measure current include a sensing capacitor, which in series with a resistor, is placed across the output inductor of the power supply in order to utilize the parasitic resistance of the inductor, in conjunction with a measurement controller which performs initial calibration and temperature compensation. Initial and secondary measurements are performed using an adjustable current sink in order to eliminate thermal effects. The method and apparatus to measure current in power switching supplies are particularly useful for overcoming invasive measurement techniques for measuring current known in the art.

Method and apparatus to measure current in power switchers

A timing calibration system for an adjustable delay time of a delay module for an electronic circuit is provided. The system includes a control delay module including at least one calibration delay module, the control delay module having a second delay time. The system also includes a timing module associated with the control delay module, a comparison module associated with the timing module and an adjustment module for the delay module. The timing module measures the second delay time, the comparison module compares the second delay time with a desired delay time and produces a comparison result and the adjustment module calibrates the adjustable delay time utilizing the comparison result.
