Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for managing attachment requests for UEs in a wireless network environment comprising a first set of base stations and a second set of base stations when the first and second set of base stations have at least one unique network characteristic. By rejecting attachment requests to UEs attempting to access one or more base stations of the second set of base stations, the conventional cell selection and attachment process will drive UEs to attach to the first set of base stations.

Managing access requests in a redundant network environment

A wireless communication network provides a text-messaging service and a voice-calling service to wireless communication devices. The wireless communication network monitors performance of text-messaging functions and voice-calling functions. The wireless communication network prioritizes the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions based on their performance. The wireless communication network transfers function lists that prioritize the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions by their performance. The wireless communication network wirelessly exchanges text-messaging signaling and voice-calling signaling between the wireless communication devices and the text-messaging functions and the voice-calling functions. Individual ones of the wireless communication devices exchange the text-messaging signaling with selected ones of the text-messaging functions based on the function list that prioritizes the text-messaging functions by their performance. Individual ones of the wireless communication devices exchange the voice-calling signaling with selected ones of the voice-calling functions based on the function list that prioritizes the voice-calling functions by their performance.

Media content service delivery in a wireless communication network

A wireless communication device wirelessly downloads a user application, and in response, wirelessly receives signaling that indicates a wireless network slice for the user application. The wireless communication device wirelessly downloads another user application, and in response, wirelessly receives other signaling that indicates another wireless network slice for the other user application. The wireless communication device executes the user application, and in response, wirelessly transfers a request for the wireless network slice and wirelessly exchanges application data for the user application over the wireless network slice for the user application. The wireless communication device executes the other user application, and in response, wirelessly transfers another request for the other wireless network slice and wirelessly exchanges other application data for the other user application over the other wireless network slice for the other user application.

Wireless network slice optimization for user applications

A wireless communication network delivers a video-conferencing service from a video-conferencing system to wireless User Equipment (UEs) over a wireless network core and a Radio Access Network (RAN). The wireless network core monitors performance of video-conferencing functions in the video-conferencing system and prioritizes the video-conferencing functions based on their performance. The wireless network core transfers a video-conferencing function list to the RAN that prioritizes the video-conferencing functions by their performance. The RAN wirelessly transfers the video-conferencing function list to the wireless UEs. The RAN wirelessly exchanges video-conference signaling between the wireless UEs and the wireless network core. The wireless network core exchanges the video-conference signaling between the RAN and the video-conferencing functions. Individual wireless UEs select their individual video-conferencing functions based on the video-conferencing function list that prioritizes the video-conferencing functions by their performance.

A wireless communication network serves a User Equipment (UE) over an optimal wireless network slice for a user application. The wireless communication network receives a download message when the UE downloads the user application that indicates a UE Identifier (ID) for the UE and an application ID for the user application. The wireless communication network selects a slice ID for the optimal network slice based on the application ID for the user application. The wireless communication network transfers a slice message to the UE that indicates the application ID and the slice ID. The wireless communication network exchanges application data for the user application with the UE. The wireless communication network processes the application data with the optimal wireless network slice.

A wireless communication network comprises a wireless UE, a source access node, a target access node, and a network controller. The UE identifies an active media session, a UE fallback capability, and a network fallback availability. The UE measures a signal metric for the target access node and indicates the signal metric and UE fallback capability to the source access node. The source access node receives the indication the signal metric and the UE fallback capability. The source access node receives an access modification message for the UE from the wireless network controller. In response, the source access node initiates the hand over and transfers a handover message to the network controller. The network controller receives the handover message, transfers a handover request to the target access node, receives an acceptance from the target access node, and transfers a handover command for the wireless UE to the source access node.

User equipment (UE) handover based on an active media session

A data communication network serves User Equipment (UE) over an optimal wireless network slice for a user application. A Network Exposure Function (NEF) receives a notice message indicating a UE Identifier (ID) for the UE and an application ID for the user application when the UE downloads the user application. In response, the NEF transfers a download message indicating the UE ID and the application ID to a network control-plane. The network control-plane receives the download message from the NEF, and in response, selects a slice ID for the optimal network slice based on the application ID for the user application. The network control-plane transfers a slice message indicating the application ID and the slice ID to the UE. In response to the slice message, the UE uses the optimal network slice when executing the user application.

A wireless communication network is configured to wirelessly deliver a media content service to wireless User Equipment (UEs). The wireless communication network comprises network circuitry. The network circuitry executes wireless network functions and media content functions. The media content functions distribute network addresses to the wireless UEs which use the network addresses to transfer media-content for the media-content service. The wireless network functions monitor performance of the media content functions. The wireless network functions prioritize the media content functions based on their performance. The wireless network functions transfer the prioritized list of the media content functions to the wireless UEs. The wireless UEs communicate with the media content functions on a priority basis responsive to the prioritized list.

A method of building a service subscriber life-cycle data store by an application stored in a non-transitory memory of a computer system and executable by a processor of the computer system. The method comprises periodically reading wireless communication subscriber account logs from a log data store, parsing each of the logs to identify a subscriber associated with that subscriber account log, a time, and an account log type, analyzing the parsed account logs in time sequence order and based on the account log type to identify a plurality of subscriber life-cycle events, for each life-cycle event building a subscriber life-cycle entry comprising a date and time, a subscriber identity, and an identity of a subscriber life-cycle event, where each subscriber life-cycle entry corresponds to a plurality of subscriber account logs, and storing the subscriber life-cycle entry in a subscriber life-cycle data store.

Subscriber data management logs parsing and conversion to analytics use cases

A method of migrating a data store of wireless communication subscriber data from a source data store system to a target data store system. The method comprises receiving a provisioning request by a computer system, looking up and revising a data entry in the source data store system based on the provisioning request, copying and creating a reference to the revised data entry in the target data store system, and changing the reference in the source data store system to reference empty memory by the computer system. A second portion of data migration comprising creating a list of data entries, softlocking each data entry, reading and copying each data entry to the target data store system, creating a reference to the data entry, changing the reference in the source data store system to reference empty memory, and releasing the softlock by the computer system.
