For instance, the method may include receiving the analytical model from a cloud service; obtaining local data of the IIoT edge node; analyzing the local data to determine a situational context of the IIoT edge node; determining whether to transform the analytical model based on a fit between the analytical model and the situational context; and in response to determining to transform the analytical model, transforming the analytical model based on the situational context to derive a transformed analytical model.

Systems and methods are disclosed for executing a conversational interface for autonomous assembly and configuration of an Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) gateway. Methods comprise generating and transmitting, to a user over an electronic network, a plurality of questions regarding hardware and/or software assembly and configuration of an IIoT gateway; receiving, from the user over the electronic network, responses to the plurality of questions; generating a service specification in a domain specific language based on the received responses, the service specification identifying a plurality of services to be assembled on the IIoT gateway; generating, for each identified service of the generated service specification, a configuration specification in the domain specific language, each configuration specification defining a protocol of the respective identified service; and transmitting the configuration specification, to the user over the network, to enable the user to read, access, and download components listed in the configuration specification for installation on the IIoT gateway.

Systems and methods for autonomous creation of a domain specific industrial internet of things gateway using a conversational interface

A distributed digital communications network has an originating node and a multiplicity of destination nodes. The various nodes are interconnected by links and at least some of the nodes are accessible to other nodes only by multiple links. To save time in establishing the least cost path from an originating node to a destination node, the attributes of the various links are stored in memory at the originating node, a least cost path from the originating node to a destination node is calculated in response to a connection request and stored in memory. Then, when a subsequent connection request to any destination node requires the same link attributes as the least cost path already stored in memory, that same least cost path is used if it is still operational. Significant time saving is achieved in that no new least cost calculation need be made.
