Technologies and techniques for securing prescription data on a computer network. A prescription module is activated for registering prescription data. An authentication module is activated, where an entry field is disabled in the prescription application to register the prescription data for a predetermined period of time. While the entry field is disabled, the authentication module determines if the prescription application is active, and the entry field in the prescription application is activated only after the predetermined period of time has lapsed, and when the prescription application was determined to be active for the predetermined period of time. A soft token that is not received on the device, may then be entered to authenticate the prescription data.

Apparatus, system and method for processing and securing prescription data in a computer system

A medical software application including an interface which is configured to allow for automatic barcode scanning of barcodes associated with patients and medications for medication administration is further configured to display confirmation of each of the 'five rights' of medication administration.
