A method for making multi-layer electronic circuit boards having metallized apertures which may be selectively and electrically grounded or isolated from an electrical ground plane.

Method for making an electrical circuit board

There is disclosed herein a method for adhering metallizations to a substrate, comprising the steps of: (1) providing a substrate having a first surface; (2) applying a coating atop the first surface, such that the coating has a second surface bonded to the first surface, and a third surface generally conforming with the second surface; (3) etching away material from the third surface, so as to roughen and form pits in the third surface; and (4) attaching a metallization to the pits in the third surface by plating, sputtering, or similar means.

Method for adhering a metallization to a substrate

A fuel vapor recovery device having: a condenser in communication with fuel vapor from a fuel tank, the condenser condenses fuel from the fuel vapor; a reservoir collecting condensate from the condenser, the reservoir maintains the condensate at a temperature sufficient to maintain the condensate in a liquid state; and return means returning the condensate to the fuel tank. Also disclosed is a method of removing fuel from a fuel vapor including the steps of: passing the fuel vapor from a fuel tank through a condenser; condensing the fuel from the vapor; cooling the condensate to a temperature sufficient to maintain the condensate in a liquid state; and returning the condensate to a fuel tank periodically.

The use of a pigmented, fully-hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol modified melamine-formaldehyde resin coating in color registered decorative laminates provides improved laminates exhibiting pleasing aesthetics.

Incorporating abrasive materials into the resin impregnated print sheet and thereafter applying a coating of a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol modified melamine-formaldehyde resin results in an effective abrasion-resistant decorative laminate which eliminates the necessity for an overlay sheet containing abrasive materials and cellulosic fibers.

The use of a fully-hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol modified melamine-formaldehyde resin coating containing finely divided metallic powder in a decorative laminate eliminates the necessity for thin metallic foils without thereby imparting any deleterious effects to the laminate itself.

A process for preparing a fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol modified melamine-formaldehyde resin useful in decorative laminates is disclosed. The process comprises reacting melamine, formaldehyde, and fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol at 80.degree.-90.degree. C. until the reaction product has a water tolerance of about 300% to 1000% in 5.degree. C. water. The mole ratio of melamine to formaldehyde is from about 1:1.5 to about 1:1.8, respectively.
