The present invention discloses process and apparatus for the production of light olefins from their respective alkanes by catalytic dehydrogenation, where in the dehydrogenation reaction is carried out in multiple semi-continuously operated fluidized bed isothermal reactors, connected to a common regenerator and wherein the process is carried out in a sequence of steps in each cycle i.e., entry of hot regenerated catalyst, pre-treatment with reducing gas, dehydrogenation reaction, stripping, transfer of catalyst to regenerator and catalyst regeneration. Process cycle in each reactor starts at different times such that the catalyst inventory in the regenerator is invariable with time.

Fluidized bed dehydrogenation process for light olefin production

The present invention relates to an integrated process for increasing the research octane number (RON) of FCC gasoline with simultaneous reduction in benzene content. In this process, benzene rich gasoline fraction is reacted with light olefin rich gaseous streams like FCC off gas/dry gas, coker off gas to produce alkyl aromatics using FCC catalyst system containing ZSM-5 zeolite. The catalyst is continuously drawn from the FCC regenerator by suitably placing the alkylation reactor in communication with the FCC regenerator. The product stream of the alkylation reactor is routed to main fractionator for separation of off gas and benzene lean gasoline. This integrated process not only improves the octane number of gasoline but also lowers the gasoline benzene content. Further the integrated alkylation reactor system acts as a heat sink lowering the FCC regenerator temperature and enables the FCC unit to process high CCR feeds.

Catalyst composition for oxidative dehydrogenation of alkane

As part of an integrated oxidative alkane dehydrogenation and hydrogen generation process, carbon dioxide from Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) off gas stream of Hydrogen Generation Unit (HGU), and alkane from any known source are sent to oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) unit for producing high value olefins, such as ethylene, propylene and butenes. Products formed from ODH reactor are separated and the stream comprising of hydrogen, carbon monoxide and methane are recycled to Shift reactor of HGU unit for enhanced production of hydrogen at PSA.

This invention relates to an additive capable of increasing the gasoline octane (by 2-3 units) with minimum loss of gasoline. More specifically, the present invention discloses a fluid catalytic cracking additive composition capable of enhancing gasoline octane, said composition comprising 5-50 wt. % zeolite component, 0-15 wt % alumina, 5-20 wt % colloidal silica, 10-60 wt % kaolin clay, 5-15 wt % phosphate, and 0.1 to 5.0 wt. % of bivalent metal selected from Group-IIA or Group-IB, wherein the zeolite component comprises of medium pore pentasil zeolite in an amount of 1 to 50 wt. % and said zeolite consists of one or more MFI topology zeolite having SiO/AlOmole ratio in the range of 10-280. The present invention also discloses a process for preparation of the additive.

Fluid catalytic cracking additive composition for enhancing gasoline octane barrel and a process of preparation thereof

The present invention relates to preparation of catalyst for production of olefinic hydrocarbons by dehydrogenation of their corresponding paraffins, particularly propylene from propane, comprising a metal oxide or combination of metal oxides utilizing spent catalyst from Fluid Catalytic Cracking (FCC)/Resid Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) processes. The metal oxides are possibly from transition metal group, particularly from groups VB, VIB, VIII, and Lanthanide series, and at least one metal from alkali group. The catalyst support used is spent catalyst or modified spent catalyst or combination thereof. The said catalyst can be used for both non-oxidative Propane Dehydrogenation (PDH) and Oxidative Propane Dehydrogenation (OPDH) process in the presence of CO.

An apparatus for supplying additives into a coker drum includes an inlet for supplying a hydrocarbon feed stream into the coker drum and conduits along the circumference of walls of the coker drum. Each conduit has an injection nozzle to supply additives inside the coker drum. An injection control system controls the operation of the injection nozzles such that 1) one or more of the injection nozzles placed within a first distance above a vapour liquid interphase of the hydrocarbon feed stream are configured to supply the additives; and 2) supply of the additive discontinues from a particular injection nozzle when a distance between the injection nozzle and the vapour liquid interphase is less than or equal to a second distance. The apparatus optionally includes a mechanical drive system moving at least one of the conduits based on the level of the vapour liquid interphase in the coker drum.

The present invention relates to a Cracking Catalyst composition for cracking of heavy hydrocarbon feed stocks and process for preparing the catalyst. The present invention relates to a novel catalyst composition for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon streams to enhance the yield of light olefins.
