Runner pin for a roller

The present disclosure relates to a caster, having a housing, having an axle pin which is arranged in a housing opening which is oriented substantially horizontally, and on which at least one wheel is mounted, having, at the top, a pin opening oriented substantially vertically, for receiving a pivot pin, and having a braking device which brakes the at least one wheel, wherein the housing opening for the axle pin allows limited vertical displaceability of the axle pin and the braking device comprises at least one resilient housing part which acts on the axle pin. In order to provide a mechanically reliable braking device, the braking device is additionally provided with at least one spring element which cooperates with the at least one resilient housing part and amplifies the effect of its braking force and/or increases the mechanical load-bearing capacity of the at least one resilient housing part.

The invention relates to a castor with at least one wheel (), a housing () carrying the at least one wheel (), and a runner pin () which is arranged so as to be movable to a limited extent in a substantially vertically oriented housing opening () and which serves to connect the castor to an object, wherein the housing () accommodates a brake device which frees the at least one wheel () in a state in which the castor is loaded by a weight via the runner pin () and which acts with a braking effect on the at least one wheel () in a state when not loaded by a weight.

The invention relates to a wheel for a furniture roller having a locking device, having a rigid wheel core with a hub for holding an axle and having an elastic wheel casing as a running surface. According to the invention, in order to be able to realize a locking device which is effective even for small wheel diameters, an inwardly pointing toothing is provided on an outer ring of the wheel core, wherein at least one aperture is formed in the outer ring between the tooth flanks, into which aperture a web, which is aligned axially in parallel and which is offset radially inward with respect to the running surface, of the wheel casing engages in a positively locking manner.

The invention relates to a castor having a brake device with a housing () with a substantially vertically aligned receiving opening () for a runner pin () for connecting the castor to an object to be supported by the castor, and having an axle bolt () which extends through the housing transversely with respect to the receiving opening and which bears at least one wheel ('), with the brake device having a brake slide () which can be moved by an actuating lever () from the outside from a free-running position into a braked position. To provide inter alia a locking facility independently of the rotational position of the wheel, it is proposed according to the invention that the brake slide () bears an elastic brake lining () which faces toward a braking section () of the at least one wheel.

A caster, in particular a free-running caster is provided. The caster includes twinned wheels and a housing with a substantially vertically aligned upper-side journal opening for holding a rotary journal which connects the caster to an item of furniture or to some other object. The caster also has an axle bolt which extends through the housing transversely with respect to the journal opening and supports the wheels. In order to permit cost-effective production with sufficient load capacity in the region of the axle receptacle, an axle carrier having a passage opening for the axle bolt is arranged in the housing. The axle carrier is composed of a material with a higher strength than the housing.

The invention relates to a twin-wheel caster provided with a housing containing a journal opening on a top side thereof, which is oriented in a substantially vertical direction for receiving a pivot connecting a roller to a furniture or another object, a shaft-shaped slide opening on the lower side thereof, which is laterally offset with respect to the journal opening and used for receiving a cross head supported by the housing with the aid of a spring, wherein the cross head has a through opening which is oriented in a substantially perpendicular direction with respect to the shaft-shaped slide opening and receives a swivel pin bearing two wheels, is placed in the housing in such a way that it is slidable between rolling and braking positions and recesses embodied in the slide opening limiting walls and used for passing the swivel pin. The housing has two projections which are arranged in the internal space thereof, adjacent to the slide opening, laterally extend from the housing wall and frictionally support two hubs of the wheels in the braking position.
