A method for operating a wireless field-device network, comprising: wirelessly transmitting a process variable and an expected remaining running time from each field device to the other field devices within a field-device network so that in each field device the process variable and the expected remaining running time of the other field devices of the field-device network are stored; activating a second radio module of that field device which has the highest expected remaining running time, and deactivating the second radio modules of the other field devices within the field-device network; wirelessly transmitting the process variables of all field devices of the field-device network stored in the active field device, or at least a subset of the stored process variables, to the superordinate unit, which is not part of the field-device network, by means of the second radio module of the active field device.

Method for operating a wireless field-device network

A field device adapter for wireless data transfer, comprises at least: an adapter housing; an adapter electronics unit arranged in the adapter housing, the adapter electronics unit comprising a first supply circuit, which is introduced into the first connection line, for providing a first supply voltage from a loop current flowing in the first connection line, and a second supply circuit, which is introduced into the second connection line, for providing a second supply voltage from the loop current flowing in the second connection line, wherein the adapter electronics unit further comprises a HART modem and a wireless module with an antenna for transmitting and/or receiving, and the adapter electronics unit is configured such that the first supply circuit supplies the HART modem with the first supply voltage, and the second supply circuit supplies the wireless module with the second supply voltage.

Field device adapter for wireless data transfer

A field device of automation technology includes a field device housing and a field device electronics arranged in the field device housing. The field device also includes a first rechargeable battery arranged in the field device housing for energy supply of the field device electronics and a receiving unit with a receiving coil for receiving wirelessly inductively transmitted energy. The receiving unit is connected with the rechargeable battery so that the received, wirelessly inductively transmitted energy is storable, and is stored, in the rechargeable battery. The field device electronics is adapted in such a manner that energy supply occurs exclusively or at least partially from the first rechargeable battery and wherein the receiving unit and the receiving coil are adapted to receive wirelessly inductively transmitted energy as defined in a Qi standard 1.2.4 or a standard derived therefrom and to store such in the first rechargeable battery.

Field device of automation technology

Disclosed is a field device adapter for wireless data transfer, comprising: an adapter housing having a first and a second end, the first end such that the field device adapter can be mechanically connected to a field device and the second end such that a two-wire cable can be connected to the field device adapter. The adapter housing also having an adapter chamber; a supply electronics unit arranged in the adapter chamber and designed to provide a supply voltage via a voltage tap; an adapter electronics unit; and an adapter connection cable at the first end for connecting the adapter electronics to a field device electronics. The adapter electronics are designed to communicate the two-conductor signals between the field device electronics and the two-conducting-wire cable and also to convert the two-conductor signals into radio signals or vice versa.

A measurement transducer, comprising: a sensor module having a sensor element, sensor electronics and a main electronics module. The sensor element emits sensor signals, and the sensor electronics processes the digitized sensor signals with a transmission function and provides processed sensor measurement values on a digital interface. The main electronics module is functionally connected to the sensor electronics and a logic unit, and a communications interface. The logic unit is configured to receive the sensor measurement values provided on the digital interface and to cause the output of a measurement signal corresponding to the sensor measurement values through the communications interface. The logic unit is configured to carry out a monitoring function. The monitoring comprises, in addition to a currently provided sensor measurement value, the reception of the associated digitized sensor signals, with the aid of a test function which comprises the transmission function. The logic unit is also configured to provide the control measurement value to the sensor electronics, wherein the sensor electronics is configured to carry out a comparison between the control measurement value and the sensor measurement value and to cause the communications interface, via an alarm output, to directly emit an error signal in the event of deviations.

Measurement transducer having a monitoring function

An automation technology field device with at least two connection terminals to which a two-wire line or a four-wire line can be connected, such that a loop current can be supplied to the field device via the connection terminals. A safety device is provided which is used to ensure the electromagnetic compatibility and/or the explosion proofing of the field device, wherein the safety device is connected to each connection terminal via one line each, and wherein at least one current converter arranged around the line is provided, which reads back the loop current in at least one of the two lines between the safety device or parts of the safety device and the connection terminals in a galvanically isolated manner.

Automation technology field device

An input circuit for providing a supply voltage, which input circuit has a first input on the input side, wherein the input circuit has at the output end an output which serves to connect an electronic unit. The supply voltage can be transmitted via the first input to the output of the input circuit, and the first input of the input circuit is connected via a first path to the output of the input circuit. In the first path a switching unit is provided which serves for connecting the first input to an auxiliary connection of the input circuit.

A measurement transmitter for providing a measured value to a control system, comprising: a sensor having a transducer for outputting a primary signal dependent on the measured value; a first electronic circuit for processing the primary signal to an intermediate signal; a second electronic circuit for processing the intermediate signal to a signal representing the measured value, wherein the second electronic circuit has a signal output for outputting the signal to connection lines; a housing arrangement having a metal material, wherein the first electronic circuit has at least a first circuit carrier, and the second electronic circuit has at least a second circuit carrier, and wherein the first and second electronic circuits are positioned in the housing arrangement spaced from one another. Electrically conducting shielding and high frequency filters for protecting against HF disturbances, which can get into the housing arrangement via the connection lines. The electrically conducting shielding and the high frequency filters are arranged between the first and second circuit carriers.

Measurement transmitter

A circuit for regulating and monitoring a signal current, comprising a regulating circuit; and a monitoring circuit. The regulating circuit comprises: a first controlled voltage source for outputting a target value dependent controlled voltage; a current adjust circuit for adjusting the signal current in dependence on the controlled voltage and a first feedback voltage by means of a potentiometer; and a first feedback path, with at least one first resistance element across which the signal current flows. The voltage drop across the resistance element or one of the voltages of the current adjust circuit dependent thereon is supplied as a first feedback voltage. The monitoring circuit comprises: a second controlled voltage source for outputting a second target value dependent controlled voltage; an analog monitoring circuit for determining the deviation between the second controlled voltage and a second feedback voltage; and a second feedback path with a resistance element across which the signal current flows, wherein the voltage drop across the resistance element or a voltage of the monitoring circuit dependent thereon is supplied as a second feedback voltage.
