Redirecting device for a conveying means located on a conveying section

A drive unit () for a continuous conveyance means of a transfer system has a housing part () comprising two side walls (), in each of which a recess () is formed. A bearing plate () is capable of being inserted into each of the recesses () from the top end face of the housing part (). The drive shaft () of a drive wheel () for the conveyance mechanism is supported in the bearing plates (). The design of the drive unit () according to the invention allows for universal use of the drive unit () combined with easy assembly of its individual parts.

Drive unit for continuous means of conveyance in a continuous transfer system

A transporting system includes a conveyor; a workpiece carrier adapted to be advanced by the conveyor; and a monitoring apparatus for monitoring a presence or absence of the workpiece carrier in a predetermined zone of the conveyor. The monitoring apparatus has a switching element supported adjacent the conveyor and projecting at least partially into a path of the conveyor; and an arrangement for actuating the switching element independently of a direction of conveyance of the workpiece carrier.
