An exhaust turbocharger has a housing, in which a shaft is mounted by bearings, which carries a turbine wheel, on the one hand, and a compressor wheel, on the other hand. An electric machine has a rotor and a stator. The rotor is secured on the shaft for conjoint rotation therewith and the stator surrounds the rotor radially on the outside. A sleeve, which supports the rotor radially and axially, is arranged between the stator and the rotor. The sleeve has at least one fluid duct, by way of which a cooling fluid can be guided toward the bearings of the shaft.

Exhaust turbocharger

A turbine housing of an exhaust gas turbocharger with a variable turbine geometry is provided, having a support ring to which vanes are fastened which are adjustable for controlling the charge pressure, and having a covering ring for the vanes. The support ring and covering ring are spaced for forming a vane gap by spacing elements which are each penetrated by a holding element which is fastened in the support ring and/or the covering ring. The spacing elements have recesses which, during the operation of the exhaust gas turbocharger, permit a direct action of the exhaust gas flow upon the holding elements.

A lubricating oil supply system is provided for the connecting rod bearings of a crankshaft of a multi-cylinder internal-combustion engine. Oil ducts extend from the bearing journals to the crank pins of the crankshaft. Oil supply takes place by way of the main bearings of the crankshaft with the oil ducts extending from one main bearing or bearing journal respectively to the crank pins or connecting rod bearings in each case adjoining on both sides. Two oil bores are provided in the respective bearing journals of the crankshaft for the lubricating oil supply to the connecting rod bearings adjoining on the left and right. The two oil bores extend at an angle and, converging to an oil bore, extend to the two adjoining crank pins. The two oil bores interact with oil supply grooves provided in the main bearings for the lubricating oil supply. Particularly for a 6-cylinder opposed-cylinder engine, a reliable and secure lubricating oil supply is ensured while maintaining the bearing widths of the crankshaft required for absorbing the gas forces and inertial forces, respectively.
