Sodium percarbonate particles with a coating layer which comprises from 70 to 99.8% by weight of anhydrous sodium sulfate and from 0.2 to 20% by weight of a sodium borate, and whose proportion by weight is from 1 to 10% based on the mass of the sodium percarbonate particle, exhibit a high storage stability in detergent and cleaning composition formulations through a synergistic effect of sodium sulfate and sodium borate on the storage stability, and at the same time only have a small content of boron.

Coated sodium percarbonate particles

Sodium percarbonate particles with a coating layer comprising sodium sulfate in the form of a high-temperature phase of sodium sulfate and/or of a high-temperature phase of a double salt of composition Na(SO)(CO)where n is from 0 to 0.5 have an improved storage stability in detergent and cleaning composition formulations as compared with sodium percarbonate particles which comprise sodium sulfate in the coating layer only in the form of sodium sulfate (V) or burkeite.

The invention relates to liquid detergent and cleaning agent compositions of high storage stability. They comprise a liquid medium with a water content of up to 15 wt. % and particulate coating bleaching agents suspended therein. The invention relates to a process for the preparation of coated granular sodium percarbonate having a low TAM value. The preparation is carried out by fluidized-bed spray granulation at a temperature Tin the range from 45 to 75&#xb0; C., and the coating is effected by the spray application of an aqueous solution containing at least one coating component in a fluidized bed at a temperature Tin the range from 35 to 100&#xb0; C.
