A vehicle equipment part having a base fixed to the bodywork and pivot part pivotable relative to the base about an axis, which pivot part can be locked in one pivot direction by a free-wheel device having a clamping member. The clamping member is arranged in a wedge-shaped clamping gap radially between a first counter-surface formed by a wedge structure fixed to the base and a circular cylindrical second counter-surface associated with the pivot part and is movable between a blocking position and a release position. The clamping member has a first contact surface, which faces the first counter-surface, and a second contact surface, which faces the second counter-surface. The second counter-surface is formed with a structure which is V-shaped in radial section and extends at least partly in the circumferential direction coaxially with the pivot axis and which is in the form of a recess or a projection, and the second contact surface is formed by a complementary structure.

Armrest

An accessory for a vehicle has a base and a pivot part that can be pivoted relative to the base in opposite first and second pivoting direction between first and second end positions. A first latch and a second latch can lock the pivoting movement of the pivot part in at least one of the directions. An actuator automatically and/or manually moves the latches between a latched position in which the first latch and the second latch engaged and a released position in which the latches disengaged. One of the latches has a rotatable wheel rotatable having first blocking surfaces. The base or the pivot part has a first teeth engaging second teeth of the wheel. The other latch is provided with second blocking surfaces that engage the first blocking surfaces in the latched position and disengage therefrom in the released position.

Motor-vehicle accessory

An armrest has a base, a sliding part movable translationally relative to the base between a first end position and a second end position, and first and second guides on base. One of the guides has a first bearing and a second bearing at least one of which is pivotal in a respective bearing seat. The other guide has a first guide bar and a second guide bar spaced apart in a movement direction and movable jointly in the movement direction relative to the respective first and second bearings. The first guide bar extends in a straight line along a first longitudinal axis and the second guide bar in a straight line along a second longitudinal axis. The first longitudinal axis and/or the second longitudinal axis extends at an angle to a straight line extending through a center of the first bearing and a center of the second bearing.

A slide bearing for guiding a translationally movable sliding part has a first part having a first guide surface suitable for interacting with a first sliding surface of the sliding part and a second part having a second guide surface suitable for interacting with a second sliding surface of the sliding part. The second part is movable relative to the first part. A guide part is connected to the first part so as to be movable in a first direction and a second direction. A pressure device urges the second part toward the first guide surface such that the first guide surface directly engages the first sliding surface and the second guide surface directly engages the second sliding surface.

Slide bearing and accessory using same with pivotally mounted bearing

The invention relates to an accessory, with a base () and an adjustment part (), movable in translation and/or in rotation relative to the base, that is movable along a path between a first end position and a second end position and can be locked in at least one position with a locking device () with first locking formations that are associated with the adjustment part () and second locking formations that are associated with the base (), with a control system with a first controller associated with the adjustment part () and a second controller associated with the base (), with which controller the locking device () is adjustable between a catch position and a release position depending on the position of the adjustment part (). The special feature consists in that the one set of controller comprises a first switching element () on a first end region of the path and a second switching element () on a second end region, wherein a movable setting device () of the other set of controller can be actuated by of the switching element () in such a way that locking formations that are in an operative connection with the setting device () are movable between a catch position and a release position.

The invention relates to an armrest () for a seat, in particular for a vehicle seat, having a base () to which at least one container () having a cavity () is allocated, having an arm support () that is pivotable relative to the container () between a lower end position and an upper end position, having an arm support face (), wherein at least one housing wall () is allocated to the arm support (), said housing wall () being connected to the arm support () so as to move therewith in such a way that it closes an intermediate space arising between a stop face () of the arm support () and a support face () on the base part () when the arm support () pivots up, wherein the arm support () comprises an opening () through which access to the interior space () is possible.

Seat armrest

An armrest has a base element, an arm-support element movable in a direction on the base element between a pair of end positions, a mount fixed on one of the elements and formed with a throughgoing hole extending in the direction, and a rod fixed on the other of the elements and extending along an axis with play through the hole of the mount. A pair of inelastic slide-bearing rings fixed in the hole at ends thereof loosely surrounds the rod. A respective elastic bearing block fixed in and relative to each of the rings presses the rod radially against a diametrally opposite inner-surface portion of the respective ring.

The invention relates to a headrest, in particular for a vehicle seat, with a head contact part (), with a support () for mounting the headrest () on a fixed structure, with at least one parallelogrammatic linkage () between the head contact part () and the support () that carries the head contact part () for movement relative to the support () between a first position and a second position, wherein the parallelogrammatic linkage () comprises at least two links (), and each link () forms at least one pivot joint (GA, GA, GC, GC) with the support () and at least one pivot joint (GB, GB, GD, GD) with the head contact part (), with a latch (), with a first latch formation on the support () and a second latch formation on the head contact part (), wherein the first latch formation and the second latch formation are in engagement in a locked position and are disengaged in a release position. The special feature is that the first latch formation is fixed on the support () or that an upper region of at least one link () is provided with the first latch formation, and that the second latch formation is fixed on the head contact part ().

Headrest

The invention relates, among other things, to a head support () retained on the vehicle seat by at least one support rod () and movable, in particular pivotable, relative to the support rod () between at least two positions, wherein the head support () is lockable in at least one of the positions by a latch (), the latch () has a bolt () and at least one abutment structure having at least one strike (), the bolt () is movable out of the one position engaging the strike () and locking the head support (), the bolt () is supported by at least one abutment of an abutment structure on the head support (), and the abutment and the strike () have at least one abutment face (). The novelty is that the bolt () is held in contact with at least one of the abutment faces () by at least one wedge device () and/or by at least one spring unit ().

Motor-vehicle headrest

An armrest has a base, an arm support pivotal on the base about a pivot axis in opposite pivot directions between a first position and a second position, and a latch for locking the arm support pivotally relative to the base in at least one pivot position. The latch has a movable first formation and an immovable second formation that can be releasably engaged with the first formation. The first formation is movable between a locked position and a released position and is urged by a spring or the like into the locked position. The armrest is mounted on a seat, for example, and in particular a vehicle seat.

A headrest for a vehicle seat has a head support and a mounting assembly carrying the head support on a vehicle seat and comprising a four-pivot linkage having an upper holding element on the head support and a lower holding element fixed to the seat. First and second links interconnect the upper holding element at respective first and second upper pivots on the upper holding element and the lower holding element at respective first and second lower pivots on the lower holding element. Thus the four-pivot linkage can shift the head support relative to the vehicle seat between a front position moved forward toward the head of a seat occupant, and a rear position moved backward therefrom. The upper are at a different relative horizontal spacing on the upper holding element than the lower pivots on the lower holding element.

A vehicle seat, in particular a utility motor vehicle seat, having a seat part, having a backrest comprising a lower backrest part and an upper backrest part, and having a holding device, by means of which the upper backrest part is mounted displaceably with respect to the lower backrest part, wherein the holding device has a sliding guide device, by means of which the upper backrest part is arranged displaceably with respect to the lower backrest part along a displacement curve so as to mount the upper backrest part displaceably at least in part past the side edge of the lower backrest part.

Vehicle seat and utility motor vehicle comprising a vehicle seat

A motor-vehicle accessory having a pivotal element that can pivot about an axis on a generally fixed support element is provided with a mechanism having an extension on one of the elements offset from the axis and projecting angularly of the axis and a brake on the other of the elements. This brake has a pair of brake shoes flanking the extension and shiftable between a clamping position gripping the element and preventing movement of the element relative to the brake in at least one angular direction and a release position permitting movement of the element relative to the brake both in and against the one direction.

Motor vehicle fold-down armrest

A motor-vehicle armrest has a base fixed on the vehicle and defining an axis and an armrest part pivotal on the base about the axis and having a first concave surface turned radially inward toward a second convex surface of the base. A wedge-shaped sprag is slidable between the surfaces generally angularly of the axis between a locking position in which the armrest part is arrested relative to the base and a release position in which pivoting of the armrest part with respect to the base is possible. The sprag has a first contact face cooperating with the first surface of the armrest part and a second nonparallel contact face cooperating with the second surface of the base. The sprag is biased into the locking position and can be moved into the release position.
