Ink cartridge

An ink cartridge for an inkjet printer includes a bottom face and a front face; an ink interface on the front face of the ink cartridge for connection to a cartridge receiving structure; a guide interface in the bottom face for guiding the cartridge along a straight line during insertion into the cartridge receiving structure for connecting the ink interface; a latch track disposed in the bottom face of the ink cartridge to guide a latch of the cartridge receiving structure; a latch stop disposed in the latch track for engaging the latch, where the latch track comprises a locking track and an unlocking track to accommodate movement of the latch with respect to the latch stop, the locking track being at least partly separate from the unlocking track; and a latch guide for redirecting the latch towards the locking track, rather than the unlocking track.

Fluid cartridge

A print head module for delivering ink to a print head comprising a module venting system comprising a one-time vent built into the interior of the print head module in which, when an amount of ink comes in contact with the one-time vent, air is prevented from passing through the one-time vent. A system for delivering ink to a print head comprising a print head, a external reservoir of ink, and a print head module comprising a one-time vent built into the interior of the print head module and fluidly coupling the print head to the external reservoir of ink, in which, when an amount of ink comes in contact with the one-time vent within the print head module, air is prevented from passing through the one-time vent.

Print head module

An ink cartridge for an inkjet printer includes a bottom face and a front face; an ink interface on the front face of the ink cartridge for connection to a cartridge receiving structure; a guide interface in the bottom face for guiding the cartridge along a straight line during insertion into the cartridge receiving structure for connecting the ink interface; a latch track disposed in the bottom face of the ink cartridge to guide a latch of the cartridge receiving structure; a latch stop disposed in the latch track for engage ng the latch, where the latch track comprises a locking track and an unlocking track to accommodate movement of the latch with respect to the latch stop, the locking track being at least partly separate from the unlocking track; and a latch guide for redirecting the latch towards the locking track, rather than the unlocking track.

An example pen housing includes a first regulator to actuate in response to a first pressure change to enable gas within a first chamber to flow from the first chamber to a second chamber, the first chamber to flow ink to a printhead, the second chamber not to receive ink directly from an ink supply; and a second regulator to actuate in response to a second pressure change to enable the gas received from the first chamber to be discharged from the second chamber.

Pen housings

Example fluidic devices and methods are described. An example device includes a throughput chamber, an inlet to guide liquid in the throughput chamber and an outlet to guide liquid out of the throughput chamber. The example device also includes a rib that protrudes from a wall of the throughput chamber. The rib has a narrowed section in the throughput chamber between the inlet and the outlet to form a meniscus in the narrowed section.

Fluidic devices, bubble generators and fluid control methods

Valve systems for managing air in a fluid ejection system are described herein. One example valve system includes an inlet chamber, a return chamber in communication with the inlet chamber, and a filter-side chamber in communication with the inlet chamber and the return chamber. A first valve controls fluid flow between the filter-side chamber and the return chamber, and a second valve controls fluid flow between the return chamber and the inlet chamber.

Valve systems for managing air in a fluid ejection system

A printer assembly includes a carrier module and a first guide element. The carrier module includes side portions extending in a first orientation and a mounting portion to receive an ink cartridge. The first guide element is removably mounted on the carrier module and includes protrusions, extending outward beyond each side portion, to slidably engage a guide structure of a carriage cavity during at least a portion of removable insertion of the carrier module into the carriage cavity.
