A switching device includes: a triggering unit; an actuator coupled to the triggering unit; a switching mechanism coupled to the actuator; and an interface module. The interface module includes: a signal processing unit coupled to the triggering unit; an interface circuit coupled to a transmitting and receiving circuit of the signal processing unit; a power supply input for feeding a first supply voltage; and a voltage converter connected on an input side to the power supply input and a power outlet for issuing a second supply voltage. The power outlet is coupled to the signal processing unit and to the triggering unit.

Switching device with interface module

A measuring device includes: a sensor arrangement; and an insulating support for use in an electric switching device. The sensor arrangement includes at least a sensor for measuring at least one of a current strength and a voltage of an electric current flowing through an electric path. The insulating support includes a sleeve comprised of electrically insulating material, the sleeve enclosing a space enclosing the electric path. The sensor arrangement is arranged on an outer side of the sleeve.

Measuring device for use in an electric switching device

A switching device includes: an electronic trip unit; an actuator; a switching mechanism connected via the actuator to the electronic trip unit; a stationary contact; a mobile contact, which is coupled to the switching mechanism; and an alarm module. The alarm module includes: a first, a second, and a third connector; a first relay having a first contact which is connected to the first connector and having a second contact which is connected to the second connector; a second relay with a first contact which is connected to the third connector; and a control unit which is coupled on an output side to a control side of the first relay and to a control side of the second relay, and on the input side to the electronic trip unit.

Switching device and control method

A shutter for insulating electrical contacts includes a first panel having a first opening and a second panel having a second opening. The first opening is offset from the second opening when the shutter is in a closed position. The second panel includes a first guide configured to react to a pressure of a phase barrier of an insertable withdrawable unit thereon to move the second panel in a first sliding direction relative to the first panel such that the first and second openings align so as to allow an electrical contact to extend therethrough. A spring housing having a spring disposed therein between at least two support legs is slidably disposable in the first panel and extends through the second panel.
