Methods of and systems for providing temperature data in a video stream are provided. The method includes receiving a video stream having a plurality of video frames with a first frame rate and receiving temperature data including a temperature map associated with the video stream and having a plurality of temperature frames with a second frame rate, which can be slower than the first frame rate. To interlace the temperature data, a subset of temperature frames in the plurality of temperature frames can be extracted. The method further includes transmitting each temperature frame in the subset of temperature frames with the plurality of video frames in a data stream.

Method and system for providing scene data in a video stream

Methods of and systems for providing temperature data in a video stream are provided. The method includes receiving a video stream having a plurality of video frames with a first frame rate and receiving temperature data having a plurality of temperature frames with a slower second frame rate. To interlace the temperature data, a subset of temperature frames in the plurality of temperature frames can be extracted. The method further includes transmitting each temperature frame in the subset of temperature frames with the plurality of video frames in a data stream. The method may further include identifying missing data in the subset of temperature frames and correlating the missing data with the plurality of video frames. Based on the correlation of the missing data with the plurality of video frames, missing data can be provided to the subset of temperature frames to reconstruct the full plurality of temperature frames.

A method and apparatus for processing a plurality of bits stored in a memory, where the plurality of bits represent a cumulative pattern to be printed by reproducing the stored bits in a fast scan direction. Each bit stored in memory has a state (e.g., binary 0 or 1). As an example, the method selects a first subset of the plurality of bits, wherein the first subset forms a first pattern and has a center bit. Further, the method selects a second subset of the plurality of bits, wherein the second subset forms a second pattern and has a center bit coextensive with the center bit of the first subset. Next, the method determines, based on the states of the bits of the first pattern, whether the state of the center bit should be printed in the same state as it is stored in the memory. In addition, the method determines, based on the states of the bits of the second pattern, whether the state of the center bit should be printed in the same state as it is stored in the memory.

A system for allowing a peripheral device to be inserted directly into a port of a computer system while the computer system is powered on. The insertion of a peripheral device into the computer system port is automatically detected, and a configuration operation is automatically performed when insertion of the peripheral device is detected. The system also allows a plurality of peripheral devices to be connected to a single port of a computer system by automatically determining the number of peripheral devices and assigning a unique address to each of the peripheral devices. The peripheral device may have a host port for communicating with the computer system, a slave port for connecting to a slave device, and a device manager which identifies if a slave device is connection.

Translation circuitry translates the continuous-tone data into single-tone data responsive to a predetermined threshold. A digital driver for an ink jet printhead and an associated method for selectively applying voltage to a piezoelectric sidewall actuator of the printhead. The digital driver includes positive, negative and neutral voltage sources, a first switching element having a first control input, a first voltage supply input connected to the positive voltage source and a first output, a second switching element having a second control input, a second voltage supply input connected to the negative voltage source and a second output, and a third switching element having a third control input, a third voltage supply input connected to the neutral voltage source and a third output. The first, second and third outputs are connected together to provide a common output for connection to the piezoelectric sidewall actuator. By asserting the first control input for a first time period, the first switching element generates a positive voltage pulse at the common output to displace the sidewall actuator from a rest position to a first position. Next, by simultaneously deasserting the first control input and asserting the second control input, the second switching element generates a negative voltage pulse at the common output to displace the sidewall actuator from the first position, past the rest position, to a second position. Finally, by deasserting the second control input and asserting the third control input, a path to ground potential is provided at the common output, thereby driving the return of the sidewall actuator to the rest position.

To improve the reliability and lower the cost of electronic control circuits for direct current (DC) motors, the need for external mechanical sensors is eliminated through the use of low cost, highly reliable voltage comparator circuits. A motor driver integrated circuit provides for electronic storage of data, automatic execution of computer programs, and input/output transfer of various electronic signals used in the control of the DC motor. The voltage comparator circuits sense the operating state of the DC motor by comparing the motor current sense voltage, which is proportional to the torque of the motor, to threshold fixed reference voltages to determine whether the DC motor is running normally or is stalled. The motor driver IC stops or reverses the DC motor when it is stalled, thereby preventing damage and providing for fully automatic operation without external sensors.
