A method for the desulphurisation of a gas stream containing hydrogen sulphide, in particular a combustion gas stream used for combustion in a gas turbine, wherein the gas stream is brought into contact with a scrubbing medium containing a catalyst to absorb the hydrogen sulphide, forming elementary sulphur; the catalyst is reduced on formation of the elementary sulphur; the scrubbing medium containing the reduced catalyst is fed to a regeneration stage in which the reduced catalyst is regenerated by oxidation with an oxygen-containing gas which is fed to the regeneration stage; the oxygen-containing gas is fed to the regeneration stage from a compression stage of the gas turbine; and the gas which is depleted of oxygen during regeneration of the catalyst is fed to at least one turbine stage fluidically connected downstream of the compression stage.

A method and device for the desulphurisation of a hydrogen sulphide-containing gas flow, in particular for combustion in a gas turbine, wherein the gas flow is brought into contact with a washing agent containing a catalytically active component for the absorption of the hydrogen sulphide and forming elementary sulphur, wherein the catalytically active component is reduced in the formation of the elementary sulphur, wherein the washing medium containing the reduced catalytically active component is supplied to a regeneration stage, in which the reduced catalytically active component is converted back via oxidation with an oxygen-containing gas supplied to the regeneration stage, and wherein the oxygen-containing gas is supplied to the regeneration stage from a compressor of a gas turbine. Air from the compressor of a gas turbine is used for purifying a washing medium used for the desulphurisation of a gas flow.

A processing unit for a liquid washing medium contaminated with sulphur oxides and/or nitrogen oxides, has an evaporation stage for concentrating the active components of the washing medium by an evaporator and/or by a heat exchanger, and has a collecting tank connected to the evaporator and/or to the heat exchanger. The collecting tank is configured as a crystallizer for removing sulfur oxides from the washing medium by crystallization of a sulphate, in particular of potassium sulphate. A corresponding method for accelerating the absorption of carbon dioxide is also provided, wherein a carbon dioxide-containing gas is contacted with such a scrubbing solution, wherein the carbon dioxide is physically dissolved in the scrubbing solution and is chemically absorbed with the participation of the absorbent, and wherein the germanium dioxide acts catalytically for at least one reaction step of the chemical absorption of the carbon dioxide.

A device and method for separating off carbon dioxide is provided, including an absorption unit, desorption unit assigned thereto and a separation unit for separating off salts from a scrubbing solution. The absorption and desorption units are connected to each other via a first conduit for a regenerated scrubbing solution and a second conduit for a loaded scrubbing solution. The separation unit includes a crystallizer for forming salt crystals and a first separator unit on the downstream side for separating off salt crystals. A separation unit is provided for separating off salts from a scrubbing solution, having a crystallizer and a first separator unit downstream thereof. The crystallizer has a crystallization chamber for forming salt crystals and a countercurrent classifier for separating salt crystals according to particle size. A potassium compound is introduced into a contaminated solvent, and the contaminated solvent is cooled so that a solubility of a potassium sulfate becomes less than a specified concentration of potassium sulfate. Further, an oxidizing agent is introduced into the contaminated solvent so that a potassium sulfite is oxidized to potassium sulfate. The potassium sulfate is filtered out, wherein a prepared solvent is formed. Further, a device for processing an amine-based, sulfur oxide-contaminated solvent is provided.

A method for treating a contaminated alkaline amino acid salt solution is provided. First, carbon dioxide is introduced into the amino acid salt solution, with the result that carbonate or carbonate salts is or are precipitated, these being filtered off. The remaining filtrate is then cooled, amino acid or amino acid salts being crystallized out and likewise being filtered off. The amino acid or amino acid salt is then dissolved again, with the result that a treated amino acid salt solution is recovered.

An absorbent agent is provided. The absorbent agent is particularly for separating carbon dioxide from the flue gas of a fossil-fired combustion device. The absorbent agent comprises a two-component mixture including a free amino acid and an amino acid salt, wherein the free amino acid exhibits a surplus compared to the amino acid salt based on the molar concentration. This creates variability in the PCBN value, which may be attained through different absorption and desorption process temperatures. A method for manufacturing the absorbent agent is also provided.

A method for separating carbon dioxide from a flue gas of a fossil fuel-operated power plant is provided. In the method, a fossil fuel is initially burned in a combustion process, wherein a hot waste gas containing carbon dioxide is produced. In a next process step, waste gas containing carbon dioxide is brought into contact with an absorption medium in an absorption process, wherein carbon dioxide is absorbed by the absorption medium, thus forming a charged absorption medium. Next, gaseous carbon dioxide is thermally expelled from the charged absorption medium in a desorption process. For this purpose, a vapor is supplied to the desorption process, the vapor is injected into the charged absorption medium, wherein the condensation heat released by the condensation of the vapor is transferred to the charged absorption medium, and the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide is simultaneously reduced in the desorption unit.
