The present fabrication apparatus includes pivotable die blocks and a stationary half-moon male die for bending re-rods. Front inner portions of the pivotable die blocks bring over-center pressure on a bent rod so as to control the tendency of a bent rod to spread after removal from the die blocks. The pivotable die blocks are mounted in a housing with a threaded pin connector for drawing the pivotable die blocks toward and away from each other to adjust the housing to bend rods to a variety of radii. The housing further includes upper and lower plates sandwiching each of the pivotable die blocks. Parallel ridges are formed in confronting surfaces of the upper plate and a transverse bar to increase the capability of the transverse bar to prevent the housing from being spread apart as a rod is being bent.

Re-rod bender

The present invnetion is a portable reinforcing rod cutter and bender. A cutting die having elongate and oblique holes for receiving a plurality of rods to be sheared cooperates with a cutting blade connected to a hydraulically operated ram. A female bending die having a pair of pivoting die blocks cooperates with an anvil to bend rods of different diameter to bends having different angles and different diameters. The cutter and bender includes a first gauge for measuring bend angles and a second gauge for measuring the length of rods being bent or sheared. The cutting blade, cutting die, bending die, and anvil are readily removable to allow replacement thereof and to bend and shear different types and sizes of rods and pipes to different bend angles and bend diameters.

Re-rod cutter and bender

A cutter for ribbed sheet metal building panels wherein anvil blocks are mounted on the base table adjacent the shear edge of the base table which normally cooperates with the cutting edge of the swinging shear blade. The anvil blocks define sharp cornered oblique cutting edges shaped according to the shape of the ribs of the sheet metal panel; and the anvil blocks have obliquely oriented fore and aft sides to prevent interfering with the ribs when the sheet metal panels are obliquely oriented with respect to the shearing edge of the base table.
