A method for series production of a vehicle assembly, especially an interior assembly, including a vehicle-side support, especially a vehicle steering wheel (), and a component to be fastened at the support, especially a horn module (), wherein a module-side bearing unit () consisting of at least two bearing members () is assigned to the component and/or a support-side bearing unit () consisting of at least two bearing members () is assigned to the support, and wherein one of the bearing members () of the respective bearing unit () has a contact surface () and the other one of the bearing members () has at least one bearing surface () includes the step of individually orientating the two bearing members () of at least one bearing unit () relative to each other as a function of the actual dimensions of the support installed and/or the component installed, fastening the two bearing members () orientated relative to each other, and fastening the component to the support. The position of the support and the component relative to each other is defined by at least one bearing unit ().

Method and device for the serial production of a vehicle assembly, bearing unit, vehicle steering wheel and horn module for a steering wheel assembly and steering wheel assembly

A horn module () in a vehicle steering wheel has at least one electronic horn sensor () including a trigger component () deflectable upon application of a horn operating force (F). At the trigger component () at least one strain gauge () is arranged by deflection of which a signal is produced.

A vehicle steering wheel includes a gas bag module () and an immovably fastened component (), in particular a shield, adjacent to the gas bag module (). The vehicle steering wheel further includes at least one separate elastic positioning element () which establishes the position of the gas bag module () relative to the adjacent component.

A gas bag module has a gas bag whose wall, in a first state of the gas bag, has at least one pleat that is formed in that opposite sections of the wall lie against each other. The gas bag module further has a holder that holds the opposite sections together and affixes the pleat. The holder can be actively released in response to a signal, as a result of which the gas bag reaches a second state in which the pleat is opened.

Gas bag module

A gas bag module () includes a gas bag () having a front wall. A center portion () of the front wall is fastened to the gas bag module () and prevented from a free movement in the case of deployment of the gas bag (). The gas bag module further includes a covering cap () having a central portion (), which is fastened by at least one fastening means to the gas bag module () so that the central portion () is prevented from a free movement upon deployment of the gas bag (). The gas bag module () further includes at least first and second horn contacts (). The fastening means are designed so that the central portion () of the covering cap () can be moved by a predetermined first path (d) in a first direction (A) into the interior of the gas bag module (), in order to form a contact between the first and second horn contacts ().

A vehicle steering device includes a steering wheel part coupled non-rotatably to a steering column and a central part which is stationary with regard to a rotation of the steering wheel part. The steering device further includes a gas bag module including a gas generator unit. The gas generator unit in the installed state of the gas bag module is a component of the steering wheel part. Another vehicle steering device also includes a steering wheel part coupled non-rotatably to a steering column and a central part which is stationary with respect to a rotation of the steering part. A gas bag module including a gas generator unit is housed in the stationary central part. The gas generator unit is connected electrically via a supply line with a control unit arranged outside the steering device. The supply line is guided from a first clock spring arranged in a stationary section of the steering device via a second clock spring arranged in the rotatable steering wheel part to the gas generator unit.

A fastener for securing a gas bag module to a steering wheel includes two fastening arms and a fastener part. The fastening arms enter into a snap-action connection with the fastener part and clasp the fastener part in a connected condition.

Fastener for securing a gas bag module to a steering wheel

A steering wheel has a skeleton with a foamed sheathing, a hub, spokes and a steering wheel rim. A gas bag module is inserted in a central recess of the steering wheel. The gas bag module has a cover cap at the side facing the driver. For actuating a horn switch, the module is movable in the direction of the steering wheel axis relative to the steering wheel. A movement gap is formed between the cover cap and the foamed sheathing. Mounting studs on the skeleton extend parallel to the steering wheel axis. The positioning of the mounting studs is defined by the foamed sheathing. The mounting studs have free ends which are slidingly accommodated in guide recesses provided in the cover cap.

Steering wheel with integrated gas bag

A steering wheel has a skeleton with a foamed sheathing, a hub, spokes and a steering wheel rim. A gas bag module is inserted in a central recess of the steering wheel. The gas bag module has a cover cap at the side facing the driver. For actuating a horn switch the module is movable in the direction of the steering wheel axis relative to the steering wheel. A movement gap is formed between the cover cap and the foamed sheathing. Mounting studs on the skeleton extend parallel to the steering wheel axis. The positioning of the mounting studs is defined by the foamed sheathing. The mounting studs have free ends which are slidingly accommodated in guide recesses provided in the cover cap.

A gas bag module has a gas bag with a gas bag wall. The gas bag wall has a front wall which faces an occupant to be restrained and has a center section, and a rear wall with an inflation opening to connect to a gas generator. A fastener fastens the center section to the module and prevents the center section from a free movement so that a depression is formed by the center section. A module covering has an annular, predetermined outlet opening which surrounds the fastening. The module covering has a holding section encircled by the outlet opening. An emblem adjoins the holding section. The emblem is fastened to the module by the fastener which fastens the center section of the wall to the module.

The invention relates to a gas bag restraint device comprising a gas bag module having an outlet opening. The module has a gas generator and a gas bag, the latter including a front wall with a center section. This front wall, onto which an occupant who is to be restrained can strike in a case of restraint, has a depression. The depression is defined by the center section of the front wall being permanently fastened to the module and, on inflation of the gas bag, is prevented from a free movement. The restraint device further comprises a module covering closing said outlet opening. A holding part is provided surrounding the gas generator and fastened to the module, to which holding part the center section is fastened.

Gas bag restraint device

A gas bag restraint device for restraining an occupant comprises a gas bag module, which has a gas generator and a gas bag with a gas bag wall. The gas bag wall has a front wall facing the occupant, which front wall has a center section with a depression, in relation to an inflated state of the gas bag, so that an annular gas bag chamber surrounding the depression is formed. The device further comprises a module covering which on inflation of the gas bag opens an outlet opening, and a fastening device for the center section, with which the center section is prevented from a movement out of the gas bag module even in the inflated state of the gas bag, so that the depression is formed. The fastening device includes a reinforcement insert integrated into the module covering and fastened to the gas bag module.

The invention relates to a vehicle steering wheel, with a switch movably mounted on the steering wheel. The steering wheel comprises a bearing for the switch, the bearing having a guide piece and a bearing piece that encloses the guide piece. The guide piece has a free end with a cone widening outwards towards the free end and transversely to a direction of movement of the switch. The free end forms an end stop in a non-actuated switch position and rests against the bearing piece.

A detent connection comprises two retaining parts, one of which is provided with at least one detent nose. The detent nose is designed such that on shifting of the two retaining parts relative to each other one of the retaining parts is arched by a force acting substantially perpendicular to a shifting direction before the detent nose latches in place. Further, a gas bag module is proposed which comprises such a detent connection.

A device for closing an electrical switch, for installation in a steering wheel of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The switch has a first contact element ( ) which is essentially fixed, a second contact element ( ) moveable against a return force, and an actuating means ( ). The contact elements ( ) consist of elongated wire shaped or strip shaped material sections which are held parallel to one another within a spacer cage ( ) at a defined distance from each other. Sections ( ) of the cage ( ) with fixed distance between the contact elements alternate, as seen in a longitudinal direction, with sections ( ) where the second contact element ( ) can be pressed against the first contact element ( ) by means of the actuating means ( ), accompanied by an elastic deformation of the material section of the second contact element ( ).
