An implement support frame or holder is mounted to an end of a boom for swinging about a horizontal, transverse axis. A pair of transversely spaced, tapered locating pins are mounted to a horizontal, transverse member of the support frame. The pins are each provided with a front surface that is curved on a radius about the transverse pivot axis and a gradually tapering rear surface. The pins are symmetrical about a fore-and-aft extending vertical plane with the curved forward surface acting to aid in guiding the pins into circular receptacles provided in an upper rear horizontal member of the implement.

A vehicle steering mode selection control system includes an operator controlled push-to-turn switch steering mode select device, and a control circuit operatively connected to the mode select device, to steering mode actuators, to steering mode indicators and to wheel alignment indicators. The control circuit includes a timer which is actuated for a certain time period in response to pushing of the push-to-turn switch. A lamp control module is connected to the timer and permits illumination of the wheel alignment indicator lamps only during this time period. A relay is connected between the push-to-turn switch and the timer to prevent the lamp control module from responding during the time period to further pushing of the steering mode select device.

Vehicle steering mode selection control

A modular transmission is provided having a variety of flexible modules. These include very basic speed gearbox and range gearbox modules to which other modules can be added. The other modules can include a front wheel drive module, a supplemental reduction module, and an intermediate module. The intermediate module can include additional ranges and/or a creeper gear. The entire structure is highly flexible, and allows ready construction of a transmission to meet a particular customer's needs out of standard components which can be produced in mass quantities.

Modular transmission

A transmission differential includes a pair of output shafts mounted in a casing and non-rotatably received by a pair of bevel sun gears. A plurality of planet pinion shafts are received in apertures in the casing and rotatably support bevel planet gears. The inner end of each pinion shaft has a recess or groove therein. A central disc is positioned between the output shafts and engages the inner end of the pinion shafts to prevent radially inward movement thereof. The disc is received by the recesses to prevent rotation of the pinion shafts. Alternatively, a projection on the inner end of the pinion shafts can be received in a groove on an outer surface of the disc.

Transmission differential

A control system for engine-driven vehicle accessories generates sets of values representing a recent history of the engine loading and of the operational status of the accessories. History factors are derived from the sets of values. The accessories are controlled as a function of sensed parameters and of comparisons between the history factors. The sets of values are periodically updated.

Vehicle accessory control system

A control system for a fluid activated clutch which includes a shut-off valve and a manually operable control lever connected to a control valve. A quantity of fluid retained in a fluid reservoir is pressurized by a pump and fluidly supplied to the clutch by fluid passages which interconnect the two valves. Movement of the control lever activates the control valve and allows pressurized fluid to control the position of the shut-off valve. After the fluid has been pressurized, the shut-off valve functions to prevent the clutch from being engaged by the pressurized fluid until the control lever has been depressed once and then released.
