A reconfigurable work station includes a work surface supported atop a pedestal and base. A linkage arm is affixed to the base or pedestal at a first end and pivotally connected to a fixed member at a second end. The work station can pivot, with the linkage arm, about the fixed member to be selectively positioned in multiple positions. The pedestal may be height adjustable and the work surface may be rotatable atop the pedestal. Alternatively, the work station can include two pedestals and the linkage arm can be rotatably connected to one of the pedestals to rotate the work station, as well as to pivot the work station about the fixed member. A work space includes the work station and at least one wall panel, and a work space system includes multiple work spaces. Work stations within respective work spaces can be selectively positioned in focused or collaborative configurations.

Reconfigurable work station, work space, and work space system

A modesty panel includes a back cover adjacent the underside of the worksurface, a power strip or power bar having at least one electrical outlet, a cord system electrically connected to the power bar and an electrical power supply, the cord system including at least one cable. A cable management track is positioned adjacent the back cover. The track has a track sidewall that defines a cable entrance portion including a cable entrance opening, a cable storage portion extending from the cable entrance portion and including a cable exit opening, and a cable guide. The cord system extends through the entrance opening and the exit opening in the track, such that a length of the cord system is positioned within the cable management track, and wherein as the height adjustable table is moved to a lower position, the length of cord system within the track increases, with a portion of the cord system engaging the cable guide to route the cord system into the cable storage portion of the cable management track.

A space-dividing covered work space arrangement including a pair of opposed side modules each of a three-wall construction defined by an upright panel arrangement and a pair of upright end walls disposed at opposite ends thereof and projecting inwardly therefrom. A pair of canopies project inwardly from each of the opposed modules and are attached along inner edges thereof so as to define a continuous canopy assembly which overlies and encloses the work space from above.

Covered work space arrangement

A work surface storage system is provided having a work surface with a hook and loop connector material on the bottom surface thereof and a plurality of storage containers which are suspended from the connector material. The work surface and connector material are translucent to permit viewing of the contents of the storage containers by looking downwardly through the work surface.

An upright space-dividing panel which mounts thereon a cushion usable as a back rest. The cushion is secured to the panel by at least one strap which is secured to the panel and overlies a side face thereof in a generally vertical orientation. The cushion includes a mounting arrangement on the rear side thereof which cooperatively engages with the strap to permit vertical sliding movement of the cushion relative to the panel so as to define a back rest which is usable in conjunction with a furniture component disposed adjacent the panel and defining a seating surface thereon.

An upright file storage unit which includes an open-frame defined by a pair of upright and laterally spaced side frame members and upper and lower cross frame members which extend transversely between and interconnect the side frame members. The lower end of the storage unit is supported directly on a floor, and an upper end is supported on a portion of an upright wall member. The side frame members define therein vertically spaced openings such that mounting elements of a hanging-type file folder or other accessories can be engaged, within a pair of laterally adjacent and vertically aligned openings of the respective side frame members. The side frame members are inclined relative to the vertical so that the hanging file folders can be arranged in vertically staggered relationship with one another to provide ready visual access to documents stored therein.

Upright file storage unit

A communication cabling system wherein elongate communication distribution assemblies (CDAs) are joined serially together by connector units at opposite ends thereof. The interconnected CDAs include access ports or openings into which a tap unit may be inserted and connected to a circuit which is accessible through the access port. Each CDA can be adapted to carry a selected number of circuits wherein each connector unit at an opposite end of a CDA includes a block-like shielded housing having a predetermined number of mounting sockets on a back end thereof. A plurality of modular cable assemblies are provided which have plugs that plug into a respective one of the mounting sockets of the shielded housing so as to assemble a CDA. This system provides for the ready construction, installation and reconfiguration of the communication cabling system.

A presentation unit which includes a frontwardly facing, substantially transparent side wall with multiple surfaces adapted for the display of information thereon, and two pull out display panels storable within the interior of the unit and extendible outwardly therefrom, which display panels are usable for displaying information. Additional display panels are provided within the interior of the presentation unit adjacent the transparent side wall and are viewable therethrough. These display panels are readily removable from the unit and thus information can be placed thereon prior to the presentation.
