Systems, methods, and components for the construction and disassembly of raised panel assemblies. These systems, methods, and components may include a flow-limiting structure that is configured to define at least one boundary of a channel that includes at least a portion of a gap between adjacent raised panels and is configured to receive a sealant material. The flow-limiting structure may limit a flow of the sealant material therepast, thereby decreasing an overall volume of sealant material needed for construction of the raised panel assembly and/or limiting undesired adhesion of the raised panels to other structures. These systems, methods, and components also may include an elongate disassembly aid that is configured to sever at least a portion of the sealant material from between adjacent raised panels upon removal from the raised panel assembly, such as to decrease a time needed for disassembly and/or repair of the raised panel assembly.

Systems, methods, and components for the construction and disassembly of raised panel assemblies

A mobile platform personnel berth unit and a method for creating the mobile platform personnel berth unit are provided. A male mandrel is created defining an inner mold line surface of the berth unit. The male mandrel is overlayed with one or more layers of filament strips. The filament layers are thermally cured to create an integrated structural member. The male mandrel is then removed from the structural member. The structural member is profile shaped to create a semi-finished berth unit having a top, a bottom and a pair of integral side panels. Additional entrance and back panels as well as access panels and connecting hardware are then added to complete the berth unit.

An assembly for providing an indicator includes a light source, a stationary member, a first optical fiber coupled to the light source and to the stationary member, a movable panel, and a first latch assembly coupling the stationary member and the movable panel. The latch assembly has an unlatched position and a latched position. The assembly further includes a second optical fiber coupled to the movable panel, an indicator coupled to the movable panel, and a second optical fiber whereby in the last position, light from the first optical fiber is coupled to the second optical fiber differently than in the latched position.

The mortises and tenons create interlocking mortise and tenon joints that do not require a bonding adhesive. Rear upper panel edge margins (,) and (,) and the top panel edge margins (,) and (,) contain outwardly extended bulges in the region of the mortise pockets that define minimum edge margins around each mortise pocket. Right extending minimum edge margin bulges (,), (,), (,), and (,) are staggered relative to left extending minimum edge margin bulges (,), (,), (,), and (,). Protrusions (,) extend into the interior of the mortise pockets from the sidewalls thereof to extend into the interior of the mortise pockets. The protrusions are sized to form an interference fit with the tenon tabs through a combination of spring deflection of the protrusions by the tenon tabs and local material removal from the tips of the protrusions as the tenons are inserted.

Right extending minimum edge margin bulges (81), (82), (83), and (84) are staggered relative to left extending minimum edge margin bulges (89), (90), (91), and (92). Protrusions (120) extend into the interior of the mortise pockets from the sidewalls thereof to extend into the interior of the mortise pockets.
