A device for aligning and leveling tiles as they are laid in floors, walls, countertops, or the like. The device has a locking assembly and a bottom plate combined with a shaft that extends from the bottom plate through the locking assembly so that the locking assembly is movable along the length of the shaft. In use, the device is placed between adjacent tiles so that the locking assembly and bottom plate hold adjacent tiles at a desired height as the setting bed dries. The locking assembly has flexible members adapted to exert a constant compressive force against the tiles during the tile leveling process.

Tile alignment and leveling device

A tile alignment and leveling device for aligning and leveling tiles as they are being secured to a substrate. The device includes a flexible member, a bottom plate, and an intermediate member. The intermediate member spaces the flexible member and bottom plate a predetermined vertical distance. The flexible member has a first end and a second end. The first end is pivotally combined with the intermediate member thereby allowing the flexible member to pivot between a first position and a second (downward) position. In use and in its second position, the flexible member second end exerts force against the top of the tiles to help align and level the tiles as they are secured to the substrate.

A simple, inexpensive and reliable chair adjustment mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes a base which is fastened to a chair support, a slide attached to an assembly to be adjusted, such as a back or a seat or arms, and a spring device cradled by the base for engaging one of a series of spaced ramps integral with the slide. The slide also includes ramps for pushing the spring device into an out-of-the-way position secured to two hooks on the base so that at the end of the slide's extension it may be returned to a retracted position in one easy movement. When reaching the retracted position, other ramps push the spring device out of the engagement with the hooks so that the spring device extends through a space between the base and the slide to again selectively engage the series of spaced ramps.

A vehicle radio mount having a first member adapted to be mounted to the underside of a vehicle dashboard and having two opposed elongate transversely spaced parallel slide elements. A plurality of exposed conductive contacts are mounted in downwardly facing position in the first member and are connectible to respective vehicle power supply, amplifier, speaker, antenna and other circuits. A locking ridge is formed in downwardly facing position in the first member. A second member, adapted to be connected to a vehicle radio, has a pair of parallel elongate transversely spaced slide receiving grooves which correspond to and are registrable with the slide elements in the first member. A stop is formed at the end of each groove. A tab carrying a locking boss is resiliently cantilevered to the second member and extends adjacent to and is manually accessible to a manual gripping portion on the second member. The locking boss is snappable in locking relation to the ridge on the first member when the first member slide members abut the stops in the second member. The second member carries on resiliently mounted fingers electrical contacts which are registrable with corresponding contacts on the first member when the second member is in its locked position on the first member. The second member electrical contacts are connectible to the radio circuits corresponding to the vehicle circuits.
