A lavatory monument assembly configured to be positioned in the interior of an aircraft. The modular lavatory monument assembly includes first, second, third and fourth walls that cooperate to form an enclosure that defines a lavatory interior, a door positioned on one of the first, second, third, or fourth walls, and an opening on the fourth side that is open to an exterior of the enclosure. A seat is at least partially positioned in the opening. The seat includes a seat back and a seat portion that is pivotal between a storage position and a deployed position. In the deployed position the seat portion extends outside of the opening.

A lavatory monument assembly configured to be positioned in the interior of an aircraft that includes a first wall and a second wall that are generally parallel to one another, and the second wall is longer than the first wall. The lavatory monument assembly further includes a third wall and a fourth wall, and the third wall and the fourth wall generally are perpendicular to the first wall and the second wall, and the third wall and the fourth wall connect to the first wall and the second wall to form a lavatory interior. The first portion of the fourth wall generally is parallel to the third wall, and a second portion of the fourth wall angles inwardly along generally straight lines into the lavatory interior, such that the area in the lavatory interior proximate the first wall is less than the area proximate the second wall. The lavatory monument assembly farther includes a toilet in the lavatory interior proximate the first wall, and it further includes a door positioned on one of the first, second, third, or fourth walls.

Disclosed herein is an asymmetric luggage stowage bin arrangement, with a pair of compartments attached to a single bin housing. The compartments being unequal in length, to optimize the storage capacity of the bin housing relative to the most common luggage dimensions on the market. In one form, the asymmetric luggage stowage bin arrangement is used as a retrofit to replace shelf-style luggage stowage compartments common to older style aircraft.

Disclosed herein is a divider providing part of a separation between sections of a passenger cabin of a commercial aircraft, the divider comprising several components. One component may be a support arm connected to the frame of an aircraft above a passenger seat, the support arm having an outer edge facing the aisle of the passenger cabin, and an inner edge which is adjacent the face of a luggage compartment when the bucket is in an open position. Another component may be a curtain attached to a lower edge of the support arm and projecting vertically below the support arm. Yet another component may be a rigid view block adjacent the face of the compartment and configured to reposition such that the view block is adjacent the face of the compartment while the compartment is in a closed position, and repositions when the compartment is opened.

A luggage bin assembly () adapted to be disposed within a vehicle is provided. The luggage bin assembly includes a bin () reciprocally mounted for movement between an opened position and a closed position. The luggage bin assembly also includes a linkage assembly () adapted to be hingedly mounted to the bin for swinging movement with the bin as the bin is reciprocated between the open and closed positions. A reciprocating assist mechanism () is coupled to the linkage mechanism to selectively apply an assist load to the linkage assembly when the bin is reciprocated between the opened and closed position.
