Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that a 5G media streaming (5GMS) service is partially available over a 5G multicast/broadcast service (5MBS). The UE may receive information that indicates a first set of resources of the 5GMS service that are accessible or delivered via 5G unicast, and a second set of resources of the 5GMS service that are accessible or delivered via 5MBS, wherein the second set of resources are hosted on a server of the UE. The UE may receive or transmit data associated with the 5GMS service. Numerous other aspects are described.

Hybrid 5G media streaming

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for collision mitigation in sidelink. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes measuring channel busy ratio (CBR), estimating a number of UEs using the channel, estimating a congestion level based on the CBR and the estimated number of UEs. A method that may be performed by a sidelink UE includes determining a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) resource reservation including first subframes, determining second subframes for generated packet transmission, determining to skip transmission in the second subframes, listening during the second subframes for another sidelink UE's transmission, and determining whether to reselect resources. Another method includes listening during a first subframe for another sidelink UE's transmission, detecting the transmission collides with a scheduled transmission resource for the sidelink UE based on an amount of frequency resource overlap, and determining to reselect resources.

Packet collision mitigation in sidelink

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a multicast-broadcast user service description message. The UE may communicate, using a multicast-broadcast service (MBS) transport function (MBSTF) client, with an MBS entity of the network entity, in accordance with information included in the user service description message, wherein the MBS entity is split into a multicast delivery function and a unicast application server. Numerous other aspects are described.

Multicast-broadcast user service architecture

A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first collision report (s), each first collision report indicating at least one first monitored subset of sidelink resources that were monitored by a remote sidelink UE. The method also includes transmitting a second collision report indicating allocation collisions detected by the UE on a second monitored subset(s) of sidelink resources. Each of the second monitored subset(s) of sidelink resources differing from each of the first monitored subset(s) of sidelink resources indicated in the received first collision report(s). The second collision report further comprising an indication of each of the second monitored subset(s) of sidelink resources.

Coordinated and distributed collision reporting in cellular vehicle-to-everything (CV2X) networks

A method includes cellular vehicle-to-everything (CV2X) allocation collision detection and reporting. An allocation collision detection module detects control channel allocations from transmitting user equipments (UEs) in each time period of a group of time periods. A quantity of detected control channel allocations is determined in each time period. A report is then built and transmitted to at least one of the transmitting UEs. The report indicates collisions in each time period, based on the quantity and a location of the detected control channels in each time period, as well as based on a type of UE interface.

Cellular vehicle-to-everything allocation collision detection

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) and another device (e.g., another UE) may transmit messages on a shared channel accessed in a half-duplex manner (e.g., within a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) network). The UE and the other device may transmit messages on semi-persistently scheduled (SPS) resources. A message of the UE and a transmission of the other device may collide (e.g., be transmitted in the same subframe). The UE may employ muting and measuring, in which the UE may refrain from transmitting on a SPS resource and may detect the transmission of the other device. Upon detection of other transmissions, the UE may perform resource reselection. During resource selection or resource reselection, the UE may exclude an entire subframe of candidate resources if one of the candidate resources of the subframe is mapped to a resource associated with a transmission from another device.

Collision avoidance of half-duplex resource selection

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may adjust a basic safety message generation periodicity based at least in part on a semi-persistent scheduling periodicity for transmitting basic safety messages. The UE may generate one or more basic safety messages based at least in part on the adjusted basic safety message generation periodicity. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Techniques for reducing semi-persistent scheduling latency

An apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a primary power supply (PPS) configured to supply primary power, a PPS sensor configured to measure the power supplied by the PPS and provide a PPS measurement signal indicating an amount of the power supplied by the PPS, a backup power supply (BPS) configured to be provided in an emergency data system and further configured to supply backup power to a modem, and an integrated circuit configured to maintain a clock using the power supplied by the PPS. The integrated circuit is configured to receive the PPS measurement signal from the PPS sensor, determine whether the PPS measurement signal falls below a threshold, and maintain the clock using the power supplied by the BPS in response to a determination that the PPS measurement signal has fallen below the threshold.

Power management in an automotive vehicle

A method of wireless communication by a device includes detecting whether the device is in an outdoor environment in response to a start of a reevaluation timer. The method also determines a mobility level of the device in response to the start of the reevaluation timer. The method further includes enabling a vehicle-to-everything (VX) pedestrian mode in response to the device being in the outdoor environment and/or the mobility level exceeding a threshold value.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, techniques for improving semi-persistent scheduling performance, including in the context of cellular vehicle-to everything (CV2X) communications, are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment can include determining a first periodicity for transmitting safety messages, determining a second periodicity for transmitting the safety messages, wherein the second periodicity is different than the first periodicity, determining, based on a probabilistic determination process, whether to continue with the first periodicity or switch to the second periodicity, generating, based on the determination to continue with the first periodicity or switch to the second periodicity, the safety messages at the first periodicity or the second periodicity, and transmitting the safety messages at a same periodicity at which the safety messages were generated. Enhancements for improved CV2X scheduling and performance

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a method may include simulating a degradation of at least one of a first wireless communication link with a network or a different second wireless communication link with the network based on detecting that a first set of one or more packets, which were received via the first wireless communication link with the network and were added to a packet buffer, and a second set of one or more packets, which were received via the different second wireless communication link with the network and were added to the packet buffer, satisfy a threshold occupancy of the packet buffer. Systems and methods for wireless communication

A method detecting allocation collisions from transmitting user equipments (UEs) in sidelink channel resources. The colliding allocations are detected and the quantity of allocation collisions is determined. A collision report is transmitted to other sidelink UEs within the coverage zone. The collision report or collision notification provides an indication of sidelink resources having identified colliding allocations. The identified allocation collisions may be pruned to remove potentially intentional collisions before collision report transmission.

Cellular vehicle-to-everything (CV2X) allocation collision reporting

In various embodiments, media in a live uplink streaming service may be distributed by unicast and/or broadcast delivery methods. Various embodiments may include receiving, in a processor of a live uplink streaming sink computing device, assistance data for a live streaming session, selecting, by the processor, one or more delivery methods for processed media of the live streaming session based at least in part on the assistance data, and transmitting, by the processor, the processed media using the selected delivery methods.

Various aspects enable communication link selection performed by a processor of an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The IoT device may identify one or more communication link characteristic preferences of the IoT device. The IoT device may scan characteristics of a plurality of connectivity objects that are linked in a server object. The IoT device may determine a best match access point name based on the communication link characteristic preferences of the IoT device and the scanned characteristics of the plurality of linked connectivity objects. The IoT device may select a communication link based on the determined best match access point name.
