The invention relates to an apparatus for making a multilayer composite pipe. The multilayer composite pipe comprises an innermost layer () made of plastic. The pipe has a seamless metal layer () or a metal layer () having an axial, non-overlapping seam. The outer surface of the metal layer is treated for changing its outer appearance. There-after a transparent outermost layer () is provided on the outer surface of the metal layer. The structure of the pipe is such that the pipe can be permanently bent to certain angles without significant spring back.

Making pipe for liquid conveyance

An elongated product is formed such that first a core is formed, the outer surface of the core being made of plastic. Thereafter, a tubular metal layer is extruded such that the layer is seamless. When the metal layer is extruded, a clearance is allowed between the metal layer and the core. After the metal layer has cooled, the diameter of the metal layer is reduced such that the metal layer contacts the plastic core. Thereafter, the metal is annealed such that the flexibility of the metal layer increases.

Making an elongated product

The invention relates to a method for producing a strand-shaped part, wherein a hollow section () of metal is extruded, the extruded metal hollow section () cools and/or is cooled, and a plastic strand () having one or more layers is extruded into the extruded metal hollow section () after or during cooling. The plastic strand () passes by a dispensing tool (), exposed to the heat of the extruded metal hollow section () of an extruder (). The dispensing tool is inserted into the metal hollow section () and comprises a dispensing outlet (), which is disposed inside a region of the metal hollow section () in which the dispensing tool is cooled in relation to the temperature thereof during extrusion.

Method for the production of a cylindrical, strand-shaped part

An elongated product is formed such that first a core is formed, the outer surface of the core being made of plastic. Thereafter, a tubular metal layer is extruded such that the layer is seamless. When the metal layer is extruded, a clearance () is allowed between the metal layer and the core. After the metal layer has cooled, the outer surface of the core is arranged against the inner surface of the metal layer. An adhesive action is arranged between the core and the metal layer and a permanent compressive force is arranged, which compressive force compresses the core and the metal layer together.
