A dish rack includes a dish basket and a storage surface which is attachable to the dish basket for holding an item to be washed and lockable on the dish basket. The storage surface is pivotable about an axis into different angles of inclination and able to slide along the axis. A support element is arranged on an underside of the storage surface and supports the storage surface at the different angles of inclination at a point spaced from the axis. The support element has a number of locking steps in which the support element engages the dish basket so as to support the storage surface at the different angles of inclination.

Dish rack

A household dishwasher includes a washing container, a receptacle for items to be washed, and a guide device configured to enable movement of the receptacle into and out of the washing container. The guide device includes a running rail and a locking element which is configured to fix the receptacle to the running rail when the receptacle is moved out of the washing container until the running rail is in a state in which it is moved completely out of the washing container. The locking element releases the receptacle when the running rail is in the state in which it is moved completely out of the washing container, thereby bringing the receptacle into a state in which the receptacle is moved completely out of the washing container.

A dishwasher including a variable spray device operable to spray a liquid into a washing container of the dishwasher, the variable spray device, and a method thereof. The variable spray device may be structured to include a chamber for receiving the liquid therein, such as a dishwashing liquid or water, and a liquid deflector disposed in the chamber. The liquid deflector may have a geometrically shaped perimeter, for example, a conical shape, that allows for the generation of a centrifugal force within the chamber used in directing the spray of the liquid into the washing container. By varying a force or pressure of the liquid as it interacts with the liquid deflector in the chamber, variable spray patterns may be generated.
