A protective film removal device has a first removal station for releasing a protective film from an optical lens first surface, a lens holder which has an imaginary central axis, at least one fluid nozzle having a nozzle exit duct, and a rotary mounting between the lens holder and the fluid nozzle(s). The rotary mounting is configured such that a relative movement about the central axis is able to be carried out by the fluid nozzle(s), wherein the nozzle exit duct of the fluid nozzle(s) is in each case oriented inwards. A lifting device between the lens holder and the fluid nozzle(s) is configured in such that a relative movement in relation to the lens holder, said relative movement being oriented along the central axis, is able to be carried out by the fluid nozzle(s). A method for releasing a protective film from a lens surface is also disclosed.

A method for applying an optical mark to a spectacle lens mounted in a spectacle frame includes determining an intended position of the optical mark at the spectacle lens based on the spectacle frame. The method further includes taking an image of at least a part of the spectacle frame and arranging the spectacle frame in a marking device having a marking appliance and adjusting the relative position of the spectacle frame and the marking appliance such that an actuation axis of the marking appliance intersects with the spectacle lens at the intended position of the optical mark. Additionally, the optical mark to the spectacle lens is applied at the intended position by using the marking appliance. The use of a spectacle frame as a positioning reference for an optical mark and a marking device are also disclosed.

Method and device for applying an optical mark to a spectacle lens

A spectacle lens blank has an optically finished surface and a cylinder edge surface, and a protective film applied on the optically finished surface. The protective film is also arranged on the cylinder edge surface. A method for producing a spectacle lens from a spectacle lens blank having an optically finished surface and a cylinder edge surface, in which a protective film is applied onto the optically finished surface is also disclosed. Procedurally, the protective film is also applied onto the cylinder edge surface. Lastly, a device for producing a spectacle lens from a spectacle lens blank having an optically finished surface and a cylinder edge surface is disclosed, in which a protective film is applied onto the optically finished surface. An application unit for applying the protective film onto the cylinder edge surface is also disclosed.
