Method for configuring a functionality of real and/or simulated control units, comprising a functionality belonging to a functionality class, such that the functionality has one or more functions and parameters dependent on the functionality class. The functionality is further assigned to at least one control unit. The functionality class has categories, including an else category and a default category and its functionalities each belong to a category. A predetermined value is stored for parameter and if the functionality is assigned to the default category, the predetermined value is adopted for the parameter. If the predetermined value of the parameter changes, the change is adopted for all functionalities which have already been assigned to the default category. And the control unit assigned to the functionality is configured with the function and the values of the parameters of the functionality.

Method for configuring control units

A method for manipulating the bus communication of an electronic control device is provided, wherein the bus communication includes a bus hardware-independent first communication layer and a bus hardware-dependent second communication layer. The first communication layer encodes at least one piece of information in a first protocol data unit and transmits it to the second communication layer and/or the first communication layer receives the first protocol data unit from the second communication layer and decodes the first information from the first protocol data unit. The second communication layer generates bus hardware-dependent bus information from the first protocol data unit or from an additional protocol data unit derived from the first protocol data unit for transmission via the bus and/or the second communication layer generates the first protocol data unit or an additional protocol data unit, from which the first protocol data unit can be derived.

Method for manipulating the bus communication of a control device

A method is described and presented for creation of an optimized schedule for execution of a functionality by means of a time-controlled distributed computer system, in which the distributed computer system and the functionality have a set of (especially structural and functional) elements of at least one element class and the elements are at least partially in a dependence. The method according to the invention, in which the task is solved, is initially and essentially characterized by the fact that the dependences between the elements are recognized, classified and the elements are assigned to corresponding dependence classes, and that optimization of schedule occurs by coordination of elements of at least one dependence class.

Method for creating an optimized flowchart for a time-controlled distribution computer system

A configuration facility is presented and specified, with at least one computer unit and a display device for the configuration of a time-triggered bus system. The bus system has at least two bus nodes and a data bus connecting the bus nodes. At least one node task and at least one transmission task can be executed at the bus nodes. The node tasks can be presented in time sequence in a node task field, the transmission tasks can be presented in time sequence in a transmission task field separate from the node task field, and the node tasks and the transmission tasks can be coordinated with each other by graphic allocation.
