On the rotating machine part (), a plurality of magnets () is provided, surrounding the rotating machine part, while on the fixed machine part (), a stator () formed of a plurality of electric coils () is arranged, such that the rotating machine part () can be set in a defined rotational motion through an electromagnetic field generated when the stator () is energized in cooperation with the magnets (). The stator () on the fixed machine part () is formed as a full ring of 360&#xb0; covering, without gaps, all magnets () on the rotating machine part (), this full ring being composed of a number of stator ring segments () adjacent to one another and connected to one another by an electrical series connection and also composed of a number of stop elements () arranged between the stator ring segments () for fixing the stator ring segments () in a circumferential and radial direction.

A device for receiving a workpiece for a workpiece carrier circulation system of a production machine is provided, including a workpiece carrier with a workpiece receiver and a holder to be arranged on the machine for receiving the workpiece carrier in a detachable, temporary manner. The workpiece carrier includes a rotor section () which, when the workpiece carrier is received in the holder, interacts with a stator () provided on the holder, forming a torque motor and thus being rotatable about an axis in the holder.
