A base station (BS) may receive, from a network node, one or more data packets including one or more reflective quality of service (QoS) indicator (RQI) markings. The base station may then determine, based on a value of the one or more RQI markings, one or more active uplink (UL) QoS rules associated with a user equipment (UE). The base station may further determine, based on at least one of one or more timers, the one or more active UL QoS rules, and status information received from the UE, to include or refrain from including the one or more RQI markings in a transmission of the one or more data packets to the UE. Accordingly, in response to the determining that the RQI markings should be included, the base station may then transmit the one or more packets including the RQI markings to the UE.

The processor is further configured to multiplex two or more scheduling requests (SRs) into an integrated SR for requesting one or more physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources corresponding to each flow of the subset of the plurality of flows of at least one LCH of the plurality of LCHs. Each SR included in the integrated SR corresponds to an SR for the data associated with at least one flow of the subset of the plurality of flows.

Scheduling request (SR) enhancements for 5G real-time extended reality (XR) services

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to discontinuous reception (DRX) transmission. Embodiments of the present disclosure propose a solution for DRX configurations for point-to-point (PTP) and/or point-to-multipoint (PTM) transmissions. In this solution, a user equipment (UE) maintains separate DRX configurations for PTP transmissions and PTM transmissions. During active time for the PTP transmissions, the UE monitors physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) with a UE specific identifier. The UE monitors PDCCH with a PTM transmission specific identifier during active time for the PTM transmissions. In this way, it can match the MBS service quality mechanism. Moreover, it also saves power at the UE.

Discontinuous reception transmission

To accommodate a mix of high frequency carriers and lower frequency carriers, a protocol stack may include a radio link control (RLC) entity that allows configuration of status reporting control parameters on per carrier, or per subcarrier spacing. Alternatively, a protocol stack may include two RLC entities, one for handling high frequency carriers, and another for handling lower frequency carriers. (High frequency carriers and lower frequency carriers may be distinguished based on a frequency threshold.) Furthermore, a user equipment may transmit (to the network) an indication of its L2 buffer size. The network may configure the UE and/or control scheduling, to ensure the UE's L2 buffer does not overrun. Alternatively, the UE may indicate that it can support a percentage of a maximum buffer size. The network may configure the UE and/or control scheduling so that the UE's buffer occupancy does not exceed the percentage.
